CLEMS THE SECRET

Me:
Quote:
I just like to say that the white rabbit stopped by today, and told us that he had enjoyed some great tea with you and your brother recently, not much else. How are you doing tonight Edwin? Still going over your research and notes? I heard that you may need a new test subject if Morcar doesn't come back, which would be very unfortunate.. On a lighter note, everyone is still hard at work with your rooms, still no progress but we just keep going over more, and more theory's, nothing definite. Hopefully, We'll come across your "Patterns" soon, Anyways.. I digress, I tend to ramble on sometimes, Any Insight would be lovely. Thanks again and best of luck on your search with your brother, I'm Off to apply Ockham's Razor as you say, and go look over all your rooms again for something we may have missed.

Thanks again,

Wyatt H.

I hold out that Morcar will return.

I will give you a small piece of advice. The distrustful but clever one I
had many conversations with was near an answer. She may not have known
it, but it was right in front of her. Seek her out. She seems to be in
communication with the others from what I gather.

Find relevance in the numeric pairs.

I wish I could say I trust you Edwin, but I'm prone to skepticism. I don't accept answers without fully knowing they're correct (i.e. your even being the actual Four of Clubs, since you refuse to use the 'fourofclubs' email). Also, you seem a little .. hmm, sketchy? Performing experiments on your brother that cause him pain? Not so nice. Quite the 'mad scientist' of you, really.

So in quoting Red Dragon, you've intrigued me. I pride myself on being rather knowledgable in Hannibal Lector-lore (one of my favorite fictional characters). Are you perhaps assuming the role of Lector and creating/baiting yourself a Red Dragon (Dolarhyde) through your brother? If so, ambitious, but dangerous and not necessarily recommended. Personally, I think you're hinting to something else though, so I'm assuming my speculations are wrong.

Ockham's Razor's been ever-present in my mind -- I assure you. I hate getting flustered, and here I am, exceedingly flustered. I keep going off to do something else in hopes that when I come back to that error, I'll see something differently/new.

We'll see what tonight or tomorrow brings, I guess. In the meantime, you can keep laughing at my futile, over-thinking-everything frustration. (But it just proves that the chase is fun -- I won't give up so soon).

And Edwin's replies (they came right after one another):

Quote:
I enjoy your skepticism...the mark of a real scientist. Or at least
someone with the tenacity required to succeed.

I think you'll find my clues less sinister than they appear...but then
again...so much has to do with perspective.

Quote:
A few thoughts to assist:

Simplicity...above all else. I know that you understand my reference to
Ockham's thoughts. They will serve you well...far beyond this
cat-and-mouse.

And some advice - if I find myself stuck on a component, I remind myself
to look at the larger picture and find another piece that needs fitting.
In the process, you might find new meaning. Consider for instance, the
unique nature of my house. Have you noticed it's form?

And here's where it was right in front of my face:

Quote:
Edwin,

I have a theory. I'm quite sure it's correct considering your references. However, I'm unsure as to where I should apply what I've collected. I've come up with many different answers. At this point, there seems to be an unlimited amount of solutions.

As for the shape of your house, there are five points with references to body parts. The Vitruvian Man seems pretty obvious there. Especially with your nod to Da Vinci in your signature.

Your system error continues to hide its secret though. But I think there might be progress being made there.

I hope your night is going well.

Hello again,

I just wondered what the square and the circle referred to after your signature, the closest thing I could find considering the subject would be Vitruvian Man by leonardo da vinci? Is this what it means? Are you a fan of this type of art?

Chris aka Smile

Da Vinci is fascinating to me. He was quite the inventor.

Wow... thanks Edwin ^_^ *smacks head*

The community solve on this was totally awesome!

A theory untested remains a theory. You were the 1st to realize my reference. That should make you pleased. Continue to help the others. You were ahead before. Maybe history will repeat

Bang Head That computer code is frustrating me. It seems so familiar. I sense another restless night of dreaming numbers approaches.

I poured far too much time into the code and I came up with this...

which basically highlights the instances of symmetry in the numbers whether relflected, a sequence or palindromic. I'm not sure if this helps at all, I figured it would eliminate them...

HE SPEAKS SUCH UNHELPFULNESS. Lol.

I love that graph though. It really helps to point out the numbers. You rock, smile!
