Tagruato knows that there's a very dangerous threat on or near the chuai station and wants to have their asses covered by having armed men on board. Of course they're going to say that this is not true to the media; why have armed men on board an oil station?


The Spanish newscast implied it, even going so far as to state that they see the TIDOWave logo (I stared at the image for a full image and didn't see it).

 		The ninja guys are tagruato, the logo is visible on their upper sleeves, in fact the French newstory mentions the logo on the soldiers.

 		we don't know the time lapse of the event, minutes? hours? days? only the wreckage is shown in those vids. the station could have been under threat for several hours before collapsing giving enough time to send an armed rescue team. could help to explain the coast guard possible presence.

Actually this isn't true and you've just proved TIDOwave are one ones who released the videos. Prior to the newscasts TIDO was already saying
NOT mass murder!!! Granted, we're not upset that Tagruato has one fewer "death station", but we would NEVER kill to accomplish our goals.

2 days before the news hit Tido knew the station was destroyed and that people had died....how? They already had the videos showing what happened. Not finding anything at the site when TIDO visited it does not automatically mean they knew people died. They released the vids to keep TAG from covering up the real cause of how the station went down and blaming it on TIDO.
If they released the videos of Chuai to the press they most certainly could have manipulated, or more likely got help from, the French press.
All the newscasts repeat TAG's claim of eco-terror by TIDO but they also go to extremes to point out those with the ninjas are TAG, not TIDO.

Ok lets backtrak here a sec. The videos were released on Dec 27th/28th. They werent found by the ARG 'ers until Jan 6/7th.. The first TIDO blog on Jan 1st tells us that they have "returned from the supposed co-ordinates of the platform but there was nothing there.no clues, no calls, just static... but they will continue to search for their lost comerades"
Obviously, since they were travelling, they hadnt yet seen the news videos..

Now, by the next blog which is Jan 5th, they have obviously learned of the disaster (even tho we havent seen the news footage yet) they now speak of mass murder and one fewer death stations..
Point is, the footage was shot and released before TIDO knew about what had happened. Impossible for them to have orchestrated that which they couldnt predict, n'est pas?

Actually the videos take place on the 26th-29th but at least on of the news casts takes about it them not getting it "until now". They weren't released until 01-06-08 give or take a few hours depending upon TZ

 		Its been speculated that TIDOwave or The Whistle Blower leaked these videos, but if they did, wouldnt Tag know who they/he/she is seeing as the videos are from the helicopter and boat crawling with Tags ninjas? Is it possible Tag leaked the videos after finding out that Tido was at the site after it happened? Just to be able to blame them?

 		i duno about everyone else but im pretty sure T.I.D.O. hasnt been any of the actual T.I.D.O. team since the whole "they told me to post here thing"

in my opinion the videos are theonly credible evidence we've had in a long time, and thats only cause i think TAG had nothing to do with them being leaked...

...or i could jus be an idiot Very Happy

Yeah, I see it too. It seems as though (whatever it is) rises/breaches then falls/dives. It seems like only part of something. Not sure though how big "that" is. Maybe compared to the "oil" rig someone could do the math.

This could be the initial awakening of MGP. Maybe buried underneath the sea floor (as said numerous times)? But then again to create an earthquake, seismic tremors, etc... that carries thru tectonic plates would take something "galactic", much larger than MGP. But.... hey... It's a movie, we are supposed enjoy the film and imagine we are there and not turn into MIT geologists, physicists, astronomers and whatever PhD I can't afford Smile

That and this thing might be dangerously powerful to the point where it's size doesn't necessarily concern it's strength or unforeseen innate abilities.

And Jesus Christ if this is just a baby...by the time it's full grown, it'll probably bite Godzilla's head off.

As for the videos, is there any scientific cover up answer that could be given as to how to debris would fly up in the air like that in this situation? I'm not a very bright guy when it comes to structures like this and all that but if it didn't explode and just sank, that seems pretty crazy.

As for the roar that could be heard mixed into the destruction I would say I'm shocked none of these news stations picked up on it but in hindsight, how could they? With the clashing metallic sounds and sinking, it's a hard thing to focus on or make anything of.
