[SPEC] retechnologies.org

I searched this and didn't find my info anywhere, but after looking at the site, I found it was launched Tuesday, July 6, 2004.

From the information gathered on the site, it seems not many, maybe none, had visited it until it was found by us. The project "This project marks RE Technologies' first project sponsored by Michigan State University's IEEE Chapter. It is going to be a set-top box powered by Linux. This will be one of the most advanced set-top boxes on the market with features superior to that of its production counterparts.", being sponsered by MSU, should have at least some people from that college organization posting and/or visiting the site.

The countdown has reached 0, but it hasn't chenged like the ilovebees site yet. While this site is most likely a falsity, It seems strange with the launch date and lack of site traffic.

What's even funnier is that it also uses the "countdowntochina.js".

Confused

From the forum:

"Please email me if anyone has more information on how to remove this black banner. I removed it temporarily but it has come back. What is ilovebees?"

Don't know about anyone else, but my money's firmly on attention-seeking faker, filed alongside the somethingawful thing. It's a poorly written, at any rate, hardly in keeping with the stuff that we know is in-game.

Site was registered on May 13, 2004, and is hosted on a shared server w/ Fast Colocation (http://www.whois.sc/retechnologies.org)

Given the fact that:
* the .com and .net domain are registered by 2 different people/companies (note that ILB.net is registered by 'Margaret's House of Bees' too)
* The site is on a shared hosting environment.
* the domains where registered way before the other ingame domains

I'm convinced this is an attention-seeker.
