If they were to make a Cloverfield game, I think the best way to do it would be to use the game to explain the backstory. Lets face it, not everyone is into viral marketing/ARGs. There are going to be millions of people who haven't heard the slightest bit about the backstory (not that we know everything either). Another way to present the backstory would be to include it in the videogame. It will reach a much larger audience. You play an average Joe that starts learning about all these things such as SBN and potential side effects. In the end you piece it all together and try to warn the people of New York that a monster is coming.

What do you guys think about the game developing a clear backstory?
