[SPOILERS INSIDE] I just got back from the showing
and I've got something to say!

Ok, First of all, no other movie that I have ever seen EVER did anything like this. I was in NYC when that monster attacked. I was right behind HUD the entire time... I was there

This movie is NOT a disappoinment. Whoever said that the movie ignores the monster, or any action, is a liar/troll

BUT
this has VERY little to do with what we're doing on here. We knew that. But there is a lot missing.

Do not go into the movie expecting Godzilla. Expect worse. MGP is far from cuddly.

Expect raw, in your face, you-believe-you're-there type of action...

all in all, AMAZING!

and that thing at the end, I recorded it, but can't make it out.
I havent check the site since earlier today, and even then I was avoiding spoilers.

but, even though I got caught by them, and even tho I knew what was going to happen, I was completely shocked the entire time. My heart is STILL racing!

Not for the weak stomach for many reasons. but very enjoyable (my suggestion is to lay off the alcohol/drugs before you go, people we're trashed in the theater and not enjoying it too much)

anyways. I'm going to bed. Gotta get to work by 7ish...

NITE!

~Polar Bear

Tagged because of spoilers contained inside. Please be painfully clear for the sake of those that haven't seen it. - E

I just got back, too...

...and I just printed out my tickets for tomorrow's showing in DLP (Digital something) with my nephew. This time, I'll be able to stay for the credits and see what's what then. Anyway, I was not disappointed in the least (except that it ended) and I can't wait to see it again, so I can REALLY watch the movie. Pay attention to little details and all that. And yes, it WAS like being there - I wanted to run even before they decided to run. I was definitely part of the action. My housemates went to see it, and one of them is still disturbed by the movie. It's nuts - but oh, so good! And I can't wait for the rest of this Manga to come out. There are still questions to be answered! Nobody owes me $11 tonight! Money well spent!

 Just wanted to say something...

Really tired, but that was amazing. Like nothing I've ever seen before. This was all worth it, Holla!

I just came back from seeing Cloverfield. They never explain anything about the monster. And the camera shaking is enough to make you sick. My date left for the washroom half way, thinking she was gonna barf. So I HIGHLY recommend taking Gravol if you are prone to motion sickness. All in all the movie was great and the action is sometimes annoying- Like when Hud is wasting film recording Rob and the girls instead of the monster. He pays for it in the end! LOL.

Seeing it tomorrow in a theatre of over 700+ people, every seat will be taken, can't wait. Anyone tell me how the Star Trek trailer was?

Indeed - in typical Jabramz fashion there may always be more questions
than answers. And after seein' that movie, I've got a feeling that, even
tho the cat's outta the bag, the Cloverfield train isn't at it's last stop at all -
it's just gettin' rollin' ...

Very intense - some parts surreal - that movie combined with this interactive
internet investigation has made for a powerful - likely the most powererful,
veiwing experiences in my time ... (what a ride it's been Worshippy )

lol...I was dodgin' spoilers like Ben Stiller dodges wrenches. Here's a uF gift for you - in case you haven't peeped it yet Wink

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's still alive !!

Thanks for the memories guyz & galz - very much appreciated Brownie

And thank you JJ, Dave, Matt, Brian, Nicole and all of you who worked
hard & endlessly behind the curtain. I don't think I'm alone when I say I
seriously appreciate everything you krazy katz poured into this intimate,
innovative, and intense mental rave.

I thought it was a good movie. I was not let down. I met up with some people that hadn't even heard of the movie. They just showed up because they like movies. They liked the movie.

I did see one couple walk out. I think the girl was sick. Possibly sea-sick or a bite, lol. I sat kind of close to the screen and I felt fine. The POV style filming worked for me. But there was a few times when I wanted HUD to turn around or to focus on something else.

HUD is my favorite character. Marlena would be second.

No one had Slusho! shirts at the theater but just about everyone stayed through the credits. Only a handful of people left.

Pick a Thread, any thread!

Team...I just saw the midnight showing. This was the public viewing of the film.

A. I saw no objects fall into the ocean.
B. There is blood after the 'Marlana' explosion but no explination
C. The smaller beasties are 'spider / crab like' and FAST!
D. The monster and smaller guys are never seen clearly
E. The 'Operation Hammer Down' Is conducted during the film....Several explosions ensue...Don't know what they are...
F. The "party" scene is LONG...but I think alot of background information comes from it. But it is fast and yet important!
G. There are ALOT of High Schoolers attending (dont they have some sort of curfew?) And they All have "the Beatles" hair cut.
H. Couldn't really hear the easter egg at the end. (high schoolers were gathered in thier clicks talking.
I. Would I see it again? YES, definitely

I agree completely Dr. Awkward. I am almost a little misty that this is over now! I hit an 11:59 showing as well on an IMAX screen!! Probably only about 200 people or so, but 80% of them stayed through the very last credit!! Actually there was a dude that got on the speaker and said "please exit the theater now"...lol!!

This has been possibly the greatest movie "experience" that I have ever been apart of!! It has been a great 6 months and 13 days that I will never forget!! I almost feel for J.J......how can he possibly compete with himself for the rest of his career!! He has pretty much guaranteed that he can't top this!!

Thanks guys!!

Oh, I definitely saw something fall into the ocean in the last frame! It's on the right side of the screen....I saw it on an IMAX screen so it was HUGE

And I agree the party scene is long, but I wouldn't change ONE thing in this movie!! Absolutely unbelievable!! The crazy review about a month ago was dead on....."this movie is like a pussy that eats YOU out"...lol!!

Just Saw It!!! WOW!
Loved Every HandyCam second of it!

Fantastic experience. I, like most of us, have been at this since July. It was truly like BEING there, like watching it through the lens of your own handycam, and seeing a group of your close friends live through hell on Earth. I can TOTALLY see, however, if you had not been a freak like most of us, and just had saw the trailer last week on SciFi, and decided to go see it....I can see how it would be a bit of a let down. The point of the whole thing is simply knowing the characters, and knowing what led up to this night. Knowing that the company Rob is leaving to work for is potentially responsible...simply amazing marketing. It makes for a truly immersive experience. I can't imagine seeing it without having spent the time and energy that I did leading up to tonight. THANKS TEAM JJ/BAD ROBOT, et al!!!

The craziest thing...on our drive home, (I live in a rural ski resort area in NC) The temperature was hovering between 32-25. As we rounded a curve, we saw glass, debris, clothing, anti freez containers, and up ahead, an overturned SUV. We were the first people to arrive at a pretty serious accident, I had to crawl inside the inverted vehicle to see if the driver was OK, and he was...a broken bone or two...a miracle, if you could have seen the car. It was so surreal as I stood there in the middle of ambulance/siren chaos....right after leaving a film with emergency chaos. Talk about a night of IMMERSIVE experiences....

Thanks everyone for a great time....oh, and CLOVERFIELD has only just begun!

Hey everyone long time lurker first time poster. And yes of course it is about Cloverfield. /dance.

Absolutely amazing. Without a doubt one of the most immersive experiences I've ever had at a movie. YOU experience everything. YOU see the destruction. YOU are in the movie. Even with everything the ARG has brought to light, this movie still left you shocked and dumbfounded at the ferocity of the events that happen. Hell I've even betting that you could read all the spoilers on the web, and still be shocked at what you see.

I think the thing about the movie that gets you, at least for me, was the drive back home. I saw the midnight showing here in TN, and the road was devoid of any other traffic. Maybe it was just me, but I was completely waiting to see some huge fireball off on the horizon. And I think that's what makes this entire ARG/Movie great, that you do FEEL after you've seen it. That you expect to see all of the horrible things you just saw in a movie.

I just hope and pray that all the fun I've had with this game, and this movie, won't die 2 months from now, when everything has settled down, and all the marketing blitz is over. I NEED ANSWERS!
