Here's the message I sent...

To whom it may concern:

I'm writing you to inquire about the artwork on your website by a
resident client, but first let me explain a little bit about myself. I
am an art therapist and I also own and operate the Gallery Terapia in
Wisconsin. We are only in our first year and we are already doing
wonderfully. Our goal, as a gallery, is to provide individuals a place to
show their artwork to the world as a part of their therapy. We've found
that the majority of patients greatly benefit from showing their
artwork out in the open. They feel it is a way to release their emotions and
accept them, while encouraging their friends and family to do the same.
Many patients even opt to sell their artwork through the gallery and
make a good living of it! We have launched a few great Wisconsin artists
onto greatness and changed a few career paths!

Because the response has been so wonderful, we are now accepting
artwork from people across the country. Our first non-local submission
by Ted Regis from Ohio recently was named the honor of Patient Artist of
the Month! His sculpture of an old man, "digitaIis", is quite
breathtaking. I noticed the artwork entitled "The Bare Tree" on your website
and was wondering if that resident or any of your other residents would
be interested in displaying their artwork. We don't reject any of the
artwork, but rather display all of the submissions we receive. We
feel that everyone's emotions and creativity deserve to be shown to the
world. We also don't compare the artwork in front of a panel of judges,
we don't believe that a contest would be beneficial to the progress of
the patients. Rather, one person is named Patient Artist of the Month
which is decided by a vote of the patients themselves. Everything is
very light-hearted and we like to keep a sense of humor about things.
If any of your residents are concerned about confidentiality, there
should be no worries there. Although most of our patient artists use their
full name, we often will, at a patient's request, use only a first
name. I hope to hear from you soon and I hope that some of your residents
will be interested in joining our family of artists!

Varin - that was an impressive email. Not to mention your website to support it. How long did that take?

It took pretty much of half of the day. I stole the shell from a website that my husband created a while back so that I wouldn't have to waste time rewriting java and such(I didn't want to have to spend a week on it!) I figured that if the PM's intentionally put up the patient artwork, this would definitely get their attention enough to reply. I've been looking for some new content for my webpage anyway. Maybe I'll just start creating a slew (sp?) of fake websites for ARG's. Wink

I think that is quite possible. How many times did you click on it?

I'm still repeatedly clicking on it as we speak.

Will check back in after approximately 72 hours of constant clicking to let you know what happens.
