[META] second helpings? repeat views! I was looking on livejournal and noticing that a lot of people who like Cloverfield are going to watch it for a second time. I myself want to see it again since I got kinda sea sick watching it last night. My bf loved it though so he'd probably psyched to go, he mentioned it last night anyway.
But I wanted to know how many of you think you may pay money to see it again? I just think its kinda funny that theres been a few tormentors who hate this movie and want to see it fail but I get the feeling it might end up doing really really well for this weekend box office.
The last 30 mins I really want to see again...... so crazy! I gotta have a second look. It really got my adrenaline going, btw any advice for trying to thwart the nausea, besides "not being a wuss"....

I will see it more than once. The first time with my wife and youngest son, then again later with my two teenage boys just in case I missed something.

I saw the advance screening on Tuesday and went again last night for the 12:01 showing. I can definitely say that it's just as intense as the first time.

I really expect to go see this again with some foiks. I want to bring a notepad and take notes of things that might not have been caught already by others.
As for motion sickness, dramamine would be wise. I noticed the herky jerky is worst towards the earlier portion of the film. I think they avoided as much motion as CGI came more heavily into play. That being the case, just enough dramamine to get you through as little as 30 min. might be enough. Short of pharmaceutical solutions I'd suggest you not either try to keep your head too still and let your eyes try to do all the moving, or move your head all the time trying to follow. I consciously stopped tracking with my head more than once, even though I don't get motion sick. Tipping your head around sloshes the fluid in your inner ear which definitely induces motion sickness in many, and moving your eyes but not your head (and thus that fluid) can cause a conflict in your brain and make you motion sick. When things get really shakey, just back off your focus and blink a moment. Things do move really fast in the film, and such moments usually pass plenty quickly.

Yeah...I saw it last night (Midnight show).
I'm going to see it again tomorrow.
This one definitely requires multiple viewings...if for no other reason than the awesome sound work .

Saw it three times yesterday:
12:01am showing - packed house - Dolby surround sound - AWESOME!
4:55 pm showing with my nephew in DLP - picture was beautiful, as was the sound!
10:00 pm showing with my youngest daughter & son-in-law - picture okay, sound was low, so you didn't feel like you were there as much as the first two showings. Disappointed in that only. STILL loved the movie! Hud had the best lines!

Saw it last night at 7:30 and again at 9:30. We are going again tonight at 7:30 and once more on Sunday at 4:30 pm.
Will have seen it 4 times before Monday.
I loved it. Best epic monster movie ever. And I was one of the few people who thought Peter Jackson's King Kong was dumb. I hated Zilla. But loved the old Godzilla films because I adore cheese.

If I could find a babysitter that wouldn't wake up my 4 month old at midnight just to play with him.. i'd DEFINITELY see it again.
There are a lot of things I missed..
I missed Jason's demise on the bridge.. moved too fast for me to catch
missed a lot of lines because of the 'tards in the theater with me
I think i'll see it again when the hype has worn off and the theater isn't full of a bunch of idiots screaming stupid crap out in the middle of the movie for no reason. Unfortunately, where I live, is full of idiots.
If it isn't an R rated movie, you're stuck with assholes.

To Euchre :
Thanks for all the tips! I think at the midnight showing I was a bit tired and that added more insult to injury. I wouldve posted this sooner except that loading this site has been quite murderous lately.
I'm going to see it again on Monday during the day in order to escape the highschoolers. Even with my old lady vertigo problems (at the sad age of 25), I really gotta see this again!! Now it seems I will have to pay close attention for the mystery splash ending! I can't wait

definitely I'm going back for more ( which I don't ever do ) and I bought "Dramamine Less Drowsy Formula" to help me, got a tad off, not too much, just felt out of sorts.

First of all, I'd like to say it was totally able to live up the hype, and then some. Best movie EVER.
I saw it 1-18-08 Midnight, 1-18-08 4:30, 1-19-08 7:30. Three times total so far and not a single disappointment. Stayed after the credits all three times as well. I plan on seeing probably twice more before the weekend is up.

I am definitely going to see it again.
I won tickets to see it last night and I would gladly pay to see it again.
It was amazing!
