Can anything be done to speed up this uF this weekend?

ya, ive been getting this every 5 seconds when i click a thread, and its only on the Cloverfield area.

Not much can be done beyond not adding attachments if they are not necessary (hint hint), and being patient and not click Submit over and over. If you try to submit a post and the page hasn't changed to an error page or is just showing constantly loading, just leave it be. There's a rash of duplicate posts and threads arising because of impatience with the server. Play Nice - with the server.

This slow down happens every time there is a huge event within a game. You should have seen it before the move to the new server last year. SpaceBass runs this place himself (and until we started the fundraising last year it was also on his own dime). With some generous donations last year he was able to upgrade and access a bigger server.

Just as Euchre said. Have patience. Think about posting on existing threads and avoid attachments and images (I'm sure they have all already been posted at this point - unless you get an exclusive picture of an action figure or JJ Abrams himself with you at the movie )
