Saw it last night...Midnight show.
Not sure of theater capacity...maybe 250-300.
Anyway, it was about 95% full...the crowd was great.

There were about 20-25 people there, first showing at 7:15 PM, Kerasotes Peru, IN, Eastwood Cinema. Mostly tweens who thought the movie was "bologna" because "it was like someone was filming it"

Seriously.

I wanted to smack some kids straight.

I went tonight (18th) at the 7:40 showing and it was sold out. Theater was packed and they had to make us get up and fill in every seat possible. The crowd was great, and then after the credits i got to tell everyone that was left about the audio clip at the end being reversed and what it says! It felt so cool!

I saw the 12:20pm showing in downtown Toronto, and it was maybe 60-70% or so by the time the movie started... and what looked like a ratio of 20 to 1, guys to girls. hehe

... Caught the 9:45 showing here in our remote outpost of GA (about an hour from Hot-Lanta), and the venue was filled two-thirds of the way, mostly adults (thank Jeebus). It was everything I wanted in a monster movie - believable characters in a desperate fight for survival, caught between monsters and mortar fire. Several jump-in-your-seat moments, and a climax that had me by the throat (poor, sweet Hud..*sniff*) - all in all, worth every penny of my 8.00 ticket..! Smile ...

Saw the 7:30 and 9:30 tonight. Both times sold out crowds. A fair number of people stuck around through the killer "ROAR!" and the scratchy audio at the end.

Anyone else notice the DHARMA logo flash at the very begin?

Well the premier (midnight showing) wasn't as packed at the 7:30pm showing, people were sitting on the floor.

Packed,and surprisingly so.
A few people said "Huh?" at the end, but then all actually clapped.

The 9:45pm showing out here was pretty packed...

...with teenagers.

I was happy because there were a lot of people there, but then I was bummed because it seemed like a lot of people didn't want to be there from the comments they were making, like "it's a gorilla!" during the opening scenes, or "waste of time" at the end. I wish I had $9 to blow on seeing movies I have no desire to see.

I stayed to hear the audio after the credits, but all of these teenagers were hanging out talking in groups (quite loudly) and were making fun of things in the credits, like the name of the song that was playing. (I don't understand why? I guess kids just need to make fun of things to feel cool.)

But once you started to hear the static, everyone but the teens got quiet, so I couldn't hear it. As I was walking out, people were complaining about it, saying things like "Vance is alive? How stupid, what's that even supposed to mean?"

I was very very bitter at the people that were there.

Enjoyed the movie, though! So that made up for it, I guess.

Almost completely full at a 7:30 show. Mostly teenagers and a couple groups of 45yo men whose wives were apparently at 27 Dresses. Except for the ones that stuck around through the credits, a LOT of people were pissed at the ending, especially the 45-ers. They were complaining in the lobby and telling everyone not to go see it. I guess someone should've told them that Rambo starts next week. I was pleased with the reaction of my coworker and his wife who went with me. I'd been feeding little bits of info to her this week and she was pumped by the end of the movie and ready for more from the ARE. She was also glad that a lot of people didn't care for the ending - more of a chance for it to become a cult favorite in her opinion.
