Is Cloverfield actually a prequel or sequel?

After months of extreme speculation over Cloverfield, the movie is out with mixed reviews. You are either going to love it, or hate it. I'm not going to get in the details of the movie itself. But since the first trailer, the add campaign has been one of mystery. With Slusho and Tagruato Corp , Tidowave - Anti-Tagruato site, YouTubes, Jamie & Teddy, websites popping up, it has thrown all prospective of the movie up in the air. I also was caught up in viral drama, but we all know now that the viral campaigns reflect on "Cloverfield" as released did not help us, or did it????? Just follow me to what I think is one of the most ingenious movie promotions of all time. The hype has always been "Cloverfield" but I think there is more to the story. This is just my theory, but the Movie Cloverfield is either a sequel or prequel to a movie, that I believe is already completed. The viral campaign is to intense to just be Cloverfield by itself. If you look at the photos posted at 1-18-08.com, I think you will find that these are photos are screen shots from J.J. Abrams new movie, which was shot not from a camcorder point of view but a traditional style movie. Remember these are just my theories and I have NO proof other than what everyone has seen on the internet so far. We will know in June if I'm right or wrong, but I'm betting you will see it.

gotta be honest, if these are screen shots than the next movie must have a budget of about 300 dollars.
