If you stay on the 1-18-08 page for about 5 minutes it makes a weird monster/whale roar! crazy.

Whales instead of trout???
I'm in the "this is evidence of Mr GP's last meal before hitting NYC" camp.

Noriko became a whale. Maybe he's got something against her.
So whales did finally come into this in the 'real world' side of things.

There's at least two different kinds of whales there. I wasn't under the impression that sperm and baleen whales hung out together. It's a little odd that they'd wash up at the same place.
Do we think this is before or after NYC?

Maybe the whales were exploded by the parasite's bite?

...actually, it looks more like the whales have been bitten. (Cue the bitemark on the whale's head, not the stomach, head.)

i think this is after the Cloverfield event, after Hudavore, as i am going to call it, survives the firestorm and escapes off the island, with no tall buildings to make its path difficult.Anyway, they should put a new picture up showing the monster, that whould be enough for me.

I don't think it's after MGP's attack of Manhattan. After all, it's not exactly like whales and dolphins swim right next to the beaches of New York state, and I doubt MGP can move that fast out of Manhattan so that we have these pictures two hours (estimate) after his attack. I think it's before the attack - the whales look washed up, not thrown (which would further discount the theory that this was after the attacks - dead whales would take a couple of days at least to wash up on a beach after being eaten and dumped back in the water), and there probably wouldn't be a boat in the water near the beach if MGP had just cut footloose a few kilometres away.

Dont know about that...
Looks like another whale to me, look you can see its tail...and the ribcage is too small for our MGP...(all this has been said before, im sure)
I also dont think the whale on the left/foreground is a spermwhale...Its head and jaw look to small...

okay we've (you ) have established that the two on the left are whales. but wtf is the thing on the right?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the cloverfield monster didn't have horns.
Was there a giant longhorn bull taking a vacation at the beach?

Who mentioned 'horns'...?
It just looks to me on the right is a bloody, slightly flayed whale...
You can see the skin cracked flipper in the foreground, and the tail at the end of its putrid body...
The perspective of the whale just makes it a little enigmatic, is all...
