1. Slusho doesn't play a role in the movie as far as we know.

2. The monster most likely followed a Tagruato tanker to new york.

4. Jamie and Teddy are ex-lovers. The myspaces let us get to know the characters. Teddy is part of tidowave, people who hate tagruato for destroying the environement.

5. We thought it took place on 1-18-08 because the pictures on 1-18-08.com are labeled for that date.

6. Things contradict themselves. The satellite was supposed to fall in the atlantic ocean (the middle of it), according to Tagruato, but here we see it falling just off the shore of Coney Island. Then, in an interview, abrams said it was in the water for thousands of years.

7. There are lots of small monsters if you havn't noticed.

8. MGP is the retarded way of calling a monster Mister Grumpy Pants. Only idiots do it. Look out for them.

I went with a couple of friends. I happened to love it, and see it as one of the best I've seen in years, but my friends disagreed stating too many odd things happened (surviving the helicopter crash, beth being able to run after being stabbed, ect...). They also didnt see the object falling into the ocean at the end.

Wasnt too sure about Jamie, Ill have to check all of them out. I see on another post talking about how you can see her passed out on the couch, and I do remember catching that.

I was aware of the small spider creatures it was releasing, but didnt know there were more of these "big monsters" roaming around. I did catch how the one that ate Hud was different then the one we saw earlier in the film.

The oil tanker exploding would then explain why this monster followed it. God I hope theres a sequel to clear this all up. Why has the monster been down there so long, and why did it take so long to attack? Was Tagruato aware of it? Did it give birth too many more of these monsters, and if so, are they ready to attack....or did they already?

Wow, so many question. I love a movie that actually gets me searching on forums for answers a day later.

To add to the bit about the date discrepancy, the MySpace comments follow a real time timeline relative to Rob's departure and party. Yes, it's confusing and basically a SNAFU.
