don't worry i know u saw it, really stupid thing to lie about anyway.
and to xboy , the maybe reason this hasn't been talked about before is that maybe noone watches Degrassi cus it sucks balls. i aggree the dates are off, but maybe JJ knew it would take a while for anyone to get it, and now that the movie is done we go "aaaah there we go it fits in"
I aggree though i would like to see a vid of this for confirmation.

and I don't doubt that you saw something Oli, but whether or not it was for Cloverfield or not is still questionable... I mean, who doesn't wanna hop on the Cloverfield train and enjoy the promotions... look at Ethan Haas. had nothing to do w/ Cloverfield, but it didn't stop them from getting a little recognition from it.

Yes, this is a good point. But it would be weird for someone to steal someone else's advertising campaign.
ps. How did you change your title?

hell, look at "The Asylum" productions- they practically stole the handycam monster attacking scheme.
oh crap- I just noticed that... keep posting, you're almost 'entrenched'.

The Asylum is just a bunch of idiots being idiots. They rip off every movie that makes money.
I don't have time to 'keep posting'. Gotta grab some sleep while I have the change. Ta ta.

if that were the case they wouldnt leave it title-less or description less, they would be giving cloverfield free press cause everyone would assume its for that

ROFL, someone is starting to bud from the closet!
Anywhoo, is there any chance there is another movie coming out soon and the first one was just an intro?
EDIT: They also talking about it here:
http://www.keithandthegirl.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9028
They all assume its for the 1st cloverfield movie.

that guy on youtube had me cracking up the whole time! lol
anyway, i trust the other members on here, but why would there be a commercial like that that implies a sequel when the movie hasn't even been out for a week?
it's just hard to believe is all

I get the feeling that this was just a commericial for the first film.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Could this be text of Beth's call to Rob on his voicemail, or something simalar.

I though tit was probably for the first movie too, but after thinking about it doesn't the commercial say the same thing thats said at the end of the movie?

Re: [SPOILERS] Confirmation of Sequel on "The N" Network? Some people claim to have seen commercials which imply a sequel.

1) what did he do air mail the tape out of the debris to the army or news stations?
and 2) i cant really see it cutting in and out of other commercials, those spots are paid for and i wouldnt appreciate it if my cohesive advertisement was being cut up by another and making it incoherent, it would be damn cool and i wish more stuff like that would happen, but i just cant see it happening
but then again, i am pretty stupid
I just wanted to state that (1) is a terrible argument, being that we watched a movie 4 months before the event should have taken place...
Also, Degrassi does seem highly unlikely, There are A LOT of Cloverfield fans in the world and the fact that it's only been seen on Degrassi and no other stations makes it HIGHLY unlikely.
The N is owned by Paramount.

OK...
Sounds fake but I trust you're word...
So here's my thoughts...
It's obviously not part of the camcorder cuz why would he be asking "can you see this" it's a recording... not live
Could be a message to Lili... but I don't understand why he would ask "can you see this"
that kinda implies that he's hacked into something and is sending an SOS... but that's not Roblike at all...
Plus how would he do any of this from the rubble...
Perhaps...
He survived the bombardment and made his way back to the city to find it abandoned IE i am legend... and discovered that he was alone in the city with MGP sort of living there... and he lives his days avoiding confrontation with it... and he has found out a way to send an SOS...
maybe...
possibly recording it all for a sequal...
but like i said it all sounds so far fetched...
but the biggest thing about it all that makes it seem fake is that this isn't like JJ Abrams at all... this is nothing like what we've come to learn cloverfield is... it's just to different and far fetched...
i hate not being shown proof
