Basically, they are joking around, drinking tequila and wondering if the film will be a hit. This was written a few weeks before the movie opened.
The premise of this column, which appears weekly, is that the author, Brook Barnes in this one, hangs out with a celebrity and writes about what they do. I suppose this is the New York Times' way of bowing to our celebrity culture.
