Questions about the movie and classifying the monster
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
ok so i loved the movie, i saw it twice just to catch anything i missed (note i work at the theater), and i also followed the arg since transformers. i love it, every time the monster is right up in huds face at the end, my stomach turns and i can feel the palpitation in the theator. but there are acouple things that pissed me off....
why was rob making out with the chick after he put beth in the helicopter? he just saved the love of his life, and he starts giving his dead brothers girlfriend tounge. that makes no sense. can anyone explain.
and im also openin up this thread to disscuss the monster itself. im in the process of classifiying its biological structure and how it developed. but i would like to know all i can about it and the other theories about where it came from. so below is what ive classified so far.
it evolved in deep see ocean trenches. i assume this because of how tough its skin is. it lived in high pressure places most of its life so it can obviously withstand the pressure blast of a 500 pound bomb.
when in the ocean it mainly uses its arms and tail to swim around. this is judging by how small its legs compaired to its arms when its up close to hud.
it has extra lungs on the outside that give it the ability to project its voice great distances, possibly to find mates (like a frog croaking).
thats all i have. if you have anything to maybe add or change or speculate about feel free .

No he puts Lily in the other copter because at the end when they tell their names after the copter crashes she says Elizabeth McIntyre.

Re: Questions about the movie and classifying the monster I think those red sacs aren't extra lungs, but its only lungs. Amphibians can apparently breathe through their skin, perhaps those lungs are made from that type of skin? I can't actually see any other way it could breathe, during the Central Park scene you can hear it breathing yet its mouth was closed and it has no nose.
And yes, Rob puts Lily in the helicopter then makes out with Beth.

and yeah, i saw the movie twice, that was Beth he made out with, not Lily
no, to me it looked curious, then he screamed and it god pissed. maybe he has sensitive ears? it even curiously cocked its head, how cute! lol jk.
This is from my other post on its classification:
*EDIT* and um, were gonna need a whole new Species for this guy, unless we wanna fit him under the Cetaceans, with whales and dolphins.
Let's go over his characteristics:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He's Big, has, i guess, external and maybe internal lungs, no visible hair, small black eyes(small for his size), Carnivorous mouth, non-clawed hands, suggesting a non-violent nature possibly. Also he has large back feet, those combined with his long reaching arms suggests to me that when underwater he would pull himself along, using his gillish things to breathe.
I suppose he could be an omnivore, feeding off deep sea plant life like that algae that clings to deep sea vents feeding from heat, and then turn around and eat sperm whales as they dive for squid, and then he could eat the squid as well
.
He sounds to me like a giant mammal. and his parasites would be
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Vicious, stomach exploding crustaceans, and Clover and the Crawlers(just my name for them) could have a symbiotic relationship. EX:
They cling to Clover and clean him and his wounds, and he keeps predators away because...well i dont think any animal would be idiotic enough to mess with Clover in his (?) Natural habitat

just a heads up, all mammals have hair, and that includes whales and dolphins. If indeed MGP is a mammal, then the hair on his body would be miniscule. It looks amphibian to me...
