Little monsters Are there any theories of the smaller creatures?
I'm particularly interested in what happens when one of them bites someone.
We know what happened to Marlena, but her case seemed different from the soldier on the stretcher who also had a "bite." Besides the huge wound in his chest, the rest of him was unaffected. Marlena's entire body expanded and she popped like a balloon.
It bites you and lays a monster? It bites you and its venom fucks up the gastric juices in your digestive system?

Trout are basically fresh water, with the exclusion of Steelhead.

i think the soldiers stomach exploded, and the blood that hits the Quarantine tent when marlena is whisked away comes from her stomach popping too

Well, when you get bit by a mosquito you get a blister...imagine if it were a giant mosquito and there was a lot of that substance that creates the allergic reaction to a bug sting on your body......*pop*...best I can think of.

i think we should just understand the fact that she was bitten, infection hits, hemorrhaging starts to kick in fast, BAM- explode.
theres really nothing to analyze. it a monster bite. And i really think JJ Abrams reinvented monster bites in Cloverfield. It was really shocking and..sad.

true, i was halfway expecting a chestburster to come out, or her to start trying to eat some brains, or turn into a bat!
