second time charmed

saw it 1/10, and 1/20.

Really liked it the first time, liked it more the second. I would have no problem watching it again soon, to notice even more stuff.

I knew where and when to look for stuff. They really do show the monster alot through the movie, and I forgot about the fierce face shot just as they run into the subway station.

For some reason, I enjoyed the characters more. Can't explain why. Rob seemed stiff the first time I saw him, this time his reactions seemed more realistic. He's just not as confident as his brother, probably uncomfortable with the party for him, and seemed to be second guessing his decision to go to japan and his decision to stop calling Beth. HUD humor, silly as it is, still makes it fun between action scenes. "Flaming homeless" is priceless.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Anyone catch his frantic praying as the heli goes down?

Saw the object fall in the ocean. Stayed all through credits and heard the weird whisper at the end.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
People think it says "it's still alive",but I think the important thing it might point out is that Rob and/or Beth was still alive under the rubble.

I also saw a glimpse of
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the monster standing behind them as they pull Rob out of the heli. The camera twists for a split second to show something there. The characters never look that way till HUD goes back for the camera. That explains why they don't hear it approach, it did it while they were still unconscious. IMO

Noticed and appreciated the sound work much more this time. I kept listening to the 'battle' rage on even while they were underground or in a building.

Sitting middle or in the back is a good idea.

Saw it a few hours ago. I thought that the party was a nice set-up, Hud was a hilarious character, and I was actually very affected when certain characters died, because their friends mourned as well.

For me, the clips of the monster were aplenty, giving just enough that I really wish they hadn't done the close-up bit. It took away from it, and seemed absolutely out-of-proportion. It ruined a bit of the streak for me. Also, the sea lice were great (something tells me I have seen production artwork for them somewhere, because they looked extremely cool, but extremely familiar).

The ending was necessary, but I looked HARD and didn't see anything fall into the ocean. I have no clue what you guys are talking about. And plus, what would that object be? Since the video is only a few weeks old, it can't be the monster, because Reeves and Abrams say the monster has been asleep hundreds of years underseas. Hmm... what? Did the Tagruato satellite fall from the sky, drift to the bottom of the ocean floor, and wake up MGP and tick it off?
