It was towards the beginning of the movie, right after the first explosion and the building collapsed. They were heading towards the bridge with a crowd of other people, and they passed by a few ambulances that had set up a triage center/field hospital/whatever the term is. Hud turns the camera to look at the people lying in the stretchers, and one of them looks like he's about about to pop.

See, that was never my first impression.

My original thought was that they were mothers giving birth, because the stress of all the chaos caused them to miscarry.

Which, I guess, is still in essence... a form of popping...

That's just what it seemed like to me, who knows, maybe it was explosive biteage.

I think its also interesting to bring up the conversation Marlena and Hud were having after the attack. I don't remember it word for word but I do remember Hud saying something like, "They were trying to drag me off. I wonder where they were gonna take me." Remember, they were chomping at him pretty aggressively (in what looked like the crotch) but he didn't get any bites bad enough to make him explode. Not to mention Lily and Rob getting wounds too.

So why would our baddies want to carry off a Hud but not hurt him bad enough to explode, but bite/attack Marlena and inject whatever into her?

Also, I noticed in the stairwell in the apartment building, one of the baddies was going after Hud, even while Rob was fighting it off. Why is Hud so special? Does he just look tastier for big momma?

Uhmm... and I'm pretty confident that the little guys are just babies of MGP. And could MGP stand for Misses Grumpy Pants?

in a previous post I mentiond egg laying in human host... and some replied back saying that no little MGPs came running out, what I was trying to state was, the reason humans were exploding wasnt because they were hatching but because the growth or development of the parasties need a bigger host to completely develop. But inside a human there is only so much room, and only so much the human body can handle... so eventually we go splat!

That i agree on, MGP's mini its are socialized predators... much like raptors, hunt and protect in packs. With the exception of the one sole miniMGP that attacked the group going down the stairs after getting beth.

its too bad that there wasn't a scence where Hud zoomed in on one of the miniMGPs eatting one of its prey, just tearing up its newly aquired meal.... if a scene like this prevailed... then the whole "komodo dragon" theory would be much more believeable, whereas the bite is meant to hurt and kill the preyed upon slowly.... perhapes, but then again it tackled the shit out of poor marlena!!!!

to think about it the whole prey stalking theory could be very ideal.... after all they were following the gang in the subs, and only until they were seen did they attack... "oh shit our covers blown!!!! eat the f*ckers!!!"
