Yes, it does look like the one in Central Park. Because there's only one.

That's the scene before they go into the subway.
It looks like a frickin snake with its mouth open!

Yeah, it looks the same. Its eyes are the same, and you can even see it's head-balloon things (albeit uninflated in this picture).
Daaayum, though, it does look scary.

Wow, look at the way the bullets seem to bounce off of it.

After looking at those clips and seeing the movie twice, I keep seeing a giant, amphibious vampire bat without wing membranes, with a long tail.
The person with me said the same thing before I mentioned it, and we heard a group of people outside the theater saying they thought it was "bat-like".

that whole scene is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooaJqYB_D5U
what i don't understand about that scene is how the group somehow obliviously ended up right between a whole military company+tanks and the monster. those two don't just sneak up on people and here they came out of nowhere.

It looks SO much better here than it did in the close-up (a shot that, for me, broke the mystery, and thus, the unknown).

Yup def a bat like creature. One can wonder that MGP is a mutation of a bat, snake etc. from Rulison like event.
I was reading that when the bomb was detonated the blast underground created a gigantic cavern. The explosion was so hot that it melted the stone into a thick glass. Perhaps that is how MGP came to rampage NYC? Radiated cavern filled with bats and other creatures mutated into an MGP beasty. Then again I did run out of meds earlier today.
Yup, the voices are telling me to burn things.

i'm with the rest of you on the bat-faced theory there..
but am I the only one who thinks there is a slight striking resemblance between mgp and violator from the spawn movie?
