I hope it's acceptable to post these, they are a cell phone stills I think from Japan.
They aren't as nice as I thought two days ago. There are two photos, I added the second to compare to the first to show the black ball wasn't there a moment before/after.
**the object I am talking about is not where I thought it should be, to correspond with the splash or waves near the boat. It's just above the second telephone pole (which is on land) from the right side of the picture. Above the y and B in the writing.
I'm not sure this is the object. I mentioned it and wanted to follow up is all.
Cut and past the links. I seriously can't figure out how to add an attachment and I fail at the internet.

The pictuers are still there, and I have them saved on my comp too if I could figure out how to add an attachment. *le sigh*.
I am not awake yet, and I fail at the internet.
Just cut and past the links into your browser to get them to work.

I'm firewalled and can't get to those pics... so I'll teach you how to upload an attachment.
Below the post box (and the checkboxes that start with 'disable'), there's a box that says 'add an attachment'. Click browse, locate the file on your computer and select it, and once the box closes, click 'add attachment'. Rinse and repeat for multiples. Looking foward to those pics!

Please tell me there aren't anymore naysayers regarding the object falling into the harbour at Coney Island in the movie!

adding attachments To add an attachment
on the far left side of the"posta reply" box is a smaller box called Options.
Under options there are two choices: message body and add an attachment
click on add an attachment - it takes you to a box to upload the attachment.

its not hard to see if you look at the boat in the theater.
i assume when there is a dvd rip or an r5 leak of this movie we will have some sweet screenshots
a DVD will help this investigation by a whole lot! like there is so much that can be analyzed in full screen! not just some homevideo camera shot.
Oh yes! I cannot wait for DVD. Perhaps I'm a little crazy, but I'll convert DVD => JPEG and will examine the thousands˛ of pictures. (I need a bigger harddisk, though)
haha, well i have a 500gb harddrive, got no probem there.

Just got back into town, plus have been avoiding spoilers until after seeing the movie, so haven't been here for awhile and not sure what else is going on in the forums. There is definitely a splash at the end of the movie. My brother and I were sitting next to each other and simultaneously said, did you see that! I can't believe any photo evidence will give better understanding, since most info surrounding this movie from the very beginning has been cleverly obscured. maybe the key would be in the date the footage was taken, or else the circumstances involved at the time of the splash.

I went back to see the movie again today and finally saw the damn thing--third times the charm.
It's much closer to the horizon line than I originally thought. As pointed out by the OP. I am not sure if it is in the photos I was referring too. Other people seem to think so.
It happens so fast. I warned a few people sitting next to me ahead of time, and they still didn't see it.

I leave the intense searching to the pros. All I am saying is, early clues came from the trailer, such as the links to Slusho/Tagruato from the t-shirt. and apparently the link to TIDOwave should have been discovered from the paintings in the apartment. So maybe the date from the April recording corresponds to some obscure newspaper or blog story about some unknown splashdown in the New York area.

I tried that, did it a couple of times and still no dice. Actually, I wonder if I have to change the format. Let me try that.
Edit: I am not sure if it is in these photos. You guys decide. They really aren't the best. The first one seems to appear to show it, but it's blurry of course.
What I originally thought was it, isn't. It's just a black dot sitting there that I am not sure what it is. In the movie it looks really close to the horizon. Too damn fast I tell you!

I have highlighted 3 things, just for location purposes.
#1, is static in the movie and I have no clue what it is. In the theatre I could see it for several seconds. Whether it is always there i am not sure.
#2, is actually a wave. It flows from the right of the screen to the left, and isn't the splash. It's easier to see it watching the movie. I thought it was it at first, but since you see it curling along right to left, it's easy to see it isn't.
#3, is where I recall seeing in on the screen. Is this consistent with other people? It was this general area as I recall, close to the horizon.

I saw it I went to see the movie saturday with some friends, they didnt really know too much about the ARG only what i told them. but naturally, i was looking for certain things throughout the whole movie ofcourse.
anyway i saw it clear as day on the right side of the water. it was black and came down and splashed in the water. if you can imagine if you saw a black comet like figure with a tail but completly black, thats exactly what it looked like. whats weird is none of my friends saw it. i guess because i was the only one that pretty much knew what was gonna happen in the scene, plus i didnt tell them about it. i didnt wanna ruin the experience for them, i just gave them a little history about the ARG.
