Slusho Confirmed To Have Something To Do w/ Movie

Forgive me for saying so, but it was fairly obvious to see. While Hud is figuring out how the camera works, it's pointing at the Slusho! design on Jason's shirt for a good 10 seconds. Maybe if you had no idea of the backstory, you wouldn't take note of it, but anyone who has seen Slusho before [whether online, on Alias or on Heroes] would take note of it.

It's mentioned in the Myspaces that Jason won a bet and was paid off by a Japanese friend in Slusho. No mention of any of the other characters having any.

 		ok. i just think Slusho and that whole thing has a much larger part to do with something bigger. this monster attack isn't the main focus, imo, it's just a catastrophy that occured BECAUSE of something even bigger going on. or maybe it's 7:36 a.m. working 2 jobs + full-time college student just overworks my brain.

 		I've already theorised on Cloverfield Clues that Slusho is [part of] a bigger project by JJ Abrams that he's decided to work into Cloverfield.

I do hope, though, that the ARG backstory is fleshed out somehow [sequel sequel sequel].

Though I disagree that they all drank it and nor does it protray anywhere that they did, you do have a VERY good point.

During the movie I also was thinking that they were almost super human.

1. Marlene bashing the crap out of the one on Hud
2. Closing the metal door with 4 of the critters pushing on it
3. Beth being able to survive a rod thru her and then get up and run around
4. The three of them surviving the copter crash with all the soldiers who were sitting right byt hem all die

Yes, this is a movie and sometimes movies bend the rules of life. But maybe this is just another clue.... Shocked

 		I think the big puzzle piece that plays all by it self is THE MOVIE and all the rest of this viral stuff we find is just an enhancement experience. I don't think figuring out slusho! will bring any enlightenment in to Cloverfield. The interview of JJ at the TED Conf as posted on CloverfieldClues really shows how this guy thinks.

Well, I like how you think because I 100% agree with what you stated here. The Movie is, and always was, the centerpiece of this entire viral campaign.

I'm pretty sure Slusho is connected with the movie, and have hard proof...

First go to www.1-18-08.com and look at the pictures...

One of the pictures is of a drill rig, owned by Tagruato, collapsing...

You can go to:

to watch a video clip about this incident... When watching the video you'll see they mention T.I.D.O. wave, also look at the symbol on the shoulder of the 'ninjas' that come to rescue the employees of the drill rig.

You can go to http://tidowave.com/ to see a site, that is now locked only to an image, that says a bit about the tido wave organization.

You can also go to http://tagruato.blogspot.com/2007/11/effect.html
to read about The Effect, and how they support TIDO and their efforts...

You can see Tagruato's symbol on the banner at The Effort's page, and above see how they say Tagruato is destroying the ocean. This so far links these sites to 1-18-08... Also, when reading info on these sites, you learn that Tagruato uses these 'drill sites' for testing on exotic and endangered ocean species for production of foods/drinks for people.

Go to http://www.slusho.jp/ and clip the first blue bubble (all the way to the left) this directly relates Tagruato to the Slusho company.

So this is hard proof connecting all of these sites together, through the symbols seen in pictures/videos, relating directly to the name of the organization, and then seeing the name of the organization at the Slusho site.

On a side note, an image was taken from the Tido page, before it was locked I believe, and had a small post from 'Randy' about deaths in a certain family... the daughter listed in the article had the name Noriko, the same name as the whale thing at the slusho site.

After reading the interview, and thinking about it some, the monster in the movie does act like a child, and if you notice..

After they awaken in Central Park and they the monster, I noticed the monster was coming from the opposite direction, there was also, I believe, bombing still going on in the city itself... Perhaps you see the mother 'monster' coming to rescue her child? This would go along with some aspects of the interview...

Also with regards to the monster's(s') history... from what I've read it seems that Tagruato experiments with species for food production, at the end of the movie you apparently see a satelite fall from the sky into the ocean. the satelite, if there actually is one, causes mutation at the 'drill site' that Tagruato owns OR it somehow leads to the monster Tagruato already has that is held captive at the 'drill site' to get loose. However, I believe T.I.D.O. or The Effect have more of an role on freeing the monster. At those sites you learn that the Tagruato drill site was apparently attacked by one of the 'terrorist' organizations. This probably freed the monster.

I find it funny that a lot of the drill workers are wearing Labratory coats, and that special op looking Tagruato agents come to their rescue.

agreed. we saw the Heroes cast photos with slusho didn't we? was that a major clue??

but i kinda think theres really only one monster movie.

is the tagruato.glogspot.com a legit website?

im kinda confused, on myspace hud says tagruato is an evil oil company. so is it an oil company or a deep sea drilling company? or just the same?

Sorry for the double post, but I just read a few other responses.

I'm pretty sure Rob is supposed to be becoming the Vice-President of Slusho, or atleast something tied to Slusho, and that's why he apparently had on that slusho T-Shirt.

I also find it odd that the military was cooperating as much as they were with Rob and his friends. I know in one scene, Hud captures Rob talking to some of the marines, and I want to say someone says something like " I don't care who you are." but I'm not sure... and that the one marine tells Rob what the government plans to do and where the helicopter is. The helicopter may have also been for civilians, but at first thought when I saw it I thought it was intended only for military evacuation.

Another thing... I stayed until after the credits to see if there was anything special... all you get is some jumbled sentence immediately following the credits. I googled this, and apparently if you play the words backwards it says something like "it's still alive" or it said "we are still alive" I can't really remember what they said it was, and I'm too lazy to google it again lol.

As for a sequel, the interview I posted above says if they made one it would probably be from a different camera or person's perspective from the same night. Possibley it would be a bunch of video clips put together, or interviews/interrogations, that would be more insightful about the background of the monster, Tagruato, TIDO, and slusho.

But its worth noting 'The Effect' is maintained by UF members, as a way of Participating in an IG enviroment...So its IG but OOG...kinda

I'm pretty sure it's a legit site, because Paramount would have taken it down already since it has the Tagruato in the domain name, and has apparent background info about Tagruato, Tido, the effect, and links to Slusho and such.

I think Tagruato is supposed to be a drilling company, but uses some or all of it's Rigs for scientific research on exotic and endangered species for food/drinks.
