[HUMOR/FUN] Cloverfield: The Video Game

I've been thinking about how to do some sort of video game. The premise and the storyline doesn't adapt well to a game environment, at least not in the usual sense, so I decided to get inspiration from the man himself: J. J. Abrams.

Using a new version of a parsing engine that I wrote several years ago (for an April Fool's joke), I give you the beginnings of "Cloverfield: The Great New York Adventure":

Considering I haven't seen the movie yet, I don't have a definitive storyline, but it's getting there.

So, any ideas? Who wants to help write this thing? Smile

Moved to Social / OT / Humor. Note: If you tag it [OT], [HUMOR], or [META] it should be posted in that forum to start with. - E

Nice idea, I don't have time to help but good luck with it. Smile

You have to finish this. Though I would rather play it if you saw the movie first. Oh my god this could be amazing.

Interactive fiction fits very well to Cloverfield ARG.

Going to see the movie in the next few days (would have this weekend, but wife and son decided to go camping... ***sigh...***). Once I do that, maybe I'll have better ideas on the engine.

I'm thinking of going as far as to do flashback sequences, but don't know how they'll work. Also will probably do it from the POV of multiple characters. Maybe something along the lines of A Mind Forever Voyaging or Suspended, where you can switch back and forth. Who knows how far I may take this.

Any input is greatly appreciated.
