Sorry but I think your alone. [cricket chirping]

Sorry Trixx, I'm with Euchre, I only saw two smaller arms. If it comes out later that it has more than two under there then you get mad props my friend.

There were only 2 middle "arms" - best seen in one of the news clips and at the end when HUD sees MGP up close.

There are definitely multiple small limbs. Look at the scene where the newscast is showing an overhead view, just before cutting down to the parasites attacking the soldiers.

I noticed what looked like 2 small arms on one side during that shot... making 4 total.

However I can't say the same during Hud's pan up. The central arms there are very long and there are only 2.

Confusion!!! Smile When is that damn toy pic coming out?!? LOL.

OK. But if you take a look at the description of the hasbro toy...it mentions things on the underbelly that suck people up

I still get kudos if they aren't arms!!! Its the number thats important. I say 6 or more (including the 2 you can see when HUD gets eaten...regardless of whether they are small arms or people suckers)

I think the best drawing is this one- http://dokiestudioz.deviantart.com/art/SPOILER-Cloverfield-Monster-75228210

(except I think the claws on it's forelimbs were much longer...)

I'm really impressed with everyone's art. Dokiestudioz is the closest so far. only two things really stand out. There are no claws on the smaller limbs, I'm pretty sure they are suction cup like at the ends. Secondly, that painting is missing the monster's operculum, or gill cover. The operculum is very clearly seen moving in the full face shot of the monster at the end.

Is the operculum (hooray new words!) the horn-like line (sorry, can't think of another way to describe it). 'Cause the Dookistudioz drawing has that, it's just that the angle is different from the movie shot.

I wish I could put my drawing up, but I don't know how. T_T;;

Hey Clover. I'm really obsessing over this monster right now and have been replaying the footage from the end over and over. If you have access to it, watch it. You'll see when the monster breathes out the air sacs disappear and are covered by plating. This makes sense because it would have to be protected, just like a fish's gills, from damage. I'll try to post a pic.

XB I didn't draw the one I linked to, I just found it and thought it was worth linking is all.

Srsly though, cool! I didn't notice that. I was kinda focused on the mouth (am I the only one who saw the outer mouth open to reveal an inner, real mouth? o_o). Damn I need to see this again.
