[SPEC]Links to the Flood

Hello all,

My first post, but I've been watching for a while.

I have noticed in the latest update that the links page has many links to pages with onformation on water. One links to a website about a sort of gorge, one a picture of a guy in the water with some CROCODILES, another to a BBC website telling of problems in Asia with water shortages, another that links to a page about flooding.

I was wondering whether these links could be linked to the Floodm from teh Halo story. It would seem that these pages would come up if the word Flood was googled.

Just a thought, preparing for incoming trout.

JD.

It's possible, but I think unlikely, that there's a flood connection in the links. When you gather 307 web pages together and analyze their content, there are bound to be red herrings, and I think you've stumbled upon one. Shortly after phase 2 began, when I was quite sleep deprived and not thinking completely rationally, I started analyzing a lot of those links for hidden messages beyond the Melissa story, but I don't think there are any.

One could point to the fact that a lot of those links had to deal with war, politics, language, religion, and folklore. Maybe those links are relevant, or maybe they just matched the text that the operator wanted us to piece together. Who knows?

Welcome, Jaydee. Smile

And thanks, Pier, for the link to the existing discussion on this very topic. It's a fun puzzle, for sure.

Locking now.
