Hello, 'nother new person here.

Googled Pillsbury Engineering, nothing out of the ordinary, seems like a legit Minnesota engineering company that was around up until the 40s or so.

Only connection I can find with CMH is on the Action Squad site - one of their other missions (not at the hospital) takes place in the 'Pillsbury Canal' : http://www.actionsquad.org/chute.html - probably just a coincidence..?

Quick question:
Where did you find that contract?
If it was outside, I don't know what the weather conditions are like over there but... hasn't it rained? Shouldn't that have damaged the document?

Excellent point, I didn't think about that. Unfortunately I was out of town Saturday - Monday, so I don't know what weather was like here. I can ask around when I get to work. However, from looking at the document, there's no kind of weather-related wear and tear, so my guess is that it has not been there very long.

The fact that it's a legit company doesn't necessarily mean the document itself is legit.

The UH folks have shown a predisposition to historical accuracy, and if the company no longer exists it's unlikely they can get in legal trouble for forging documents.

If they have someone operating in the Cambridge area, it is conceivable that the document was planted specifically for dishboy to find (having read about his intended trip on the boards here).

One would imagine with all the clean-up that's been done around the facility over the last few years, any documents THAT old would've already been purged.

If it contains no useful data, that doesn't mean it wasn't planted to heighten our paranoia. Smile

Oh, indeed, agreed. I wasn't suggesting that the document was useless, just that a search on Pillsbury Engineering doesn't turn up much. I think the numbers in pencil on the inside sounded potentially interesting, any luck on taking photos of some of the inside pages, dishboy?

No time now, need to be heading off to work soon. There just weren't enough hours in the day yesterday, sorry. I'm going to a party after work, but when I get home, I'll take a picture of each page...

Phew! Typing up a trip report is not easy. Anyways, here's a link to what I just wrote up, with pictures:

To answer your question Rob: no, I really didn't. Not sure if I found anything useful at all, but I guess it's up for you guys to help me be the judge of that. Happy reading...

This is awesome, Dish!!!
You did find something useful, that Pillsbury Report is in too good of shape to be "real" - that has to be an important clue. I'm looking forward to pictures of the insides.

And the "equestrian" equipment in the back yard looked more like training stuff for police dogs.

dishboy's trip

I am completely in awe of your trip and write-up. Good for you for taking that document!!! Nicely done. Very creepy place indeed. Did you get the feeling at all that you were being watched? As I was reading your account, I got the distinct sense that you might have been.

You know, I hadn't really thought about it until now, but now that you mention it - absolutely. For example - I first showed up and took some pictures of the front of the Dental Clinic. I then walked to the right side of it to snap some pics of the Recreation Center. As I walked to the side of the Clinic I saw a group of people standing behind the clinic. Wanting to not be questioned, I walked back around to the front of the clinic, and then around to the left side, pretending to be on a leisurely stroll. From the left side I was able to see around to the back side again, and they were gone. I never saw them walk away, or drive off, or anything - they were just gone. Very strange. Same with the lady in her car at the dental clinic - I saw her there as I drove in, and never saw her again, or saw any cars leave the area. I would not be at all surprised if I was being suspiciously watched from the houses, as well...
