Cloverfield 2 Storyline an idea i had while being bored at work so Cloverfield hit the nail of originality pretty much on the head with this film. but i dont think a second film with the exact same format or story would be that great. that being said, i dont think a godzilla-esque blockbuster would be that great either. i dont know how this could be achieved whilst also looking great... but we have had it from the humans perspective... what about from the monsters perspective. it would look pretty kick ass demolishing stuff FPV. a sort of "Being Mr. Grumpypants" if you will lol

Cloverfield sequel My idea A lot of people said it would be the same attack seen from a different point of view, maybe from the military. But after a while, I'm guessing they might make a movie about another attack, on another city. Given the fact that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
it's still alive
another movie might be a second attack after
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the hammerdown protocol failed
So here's my idea: A trailer would start with a news broadcast saying something like "After last night's events, we are getting confirmation that
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the hammerdown protocol has failed
." Then another news broadcast would show the stock market and would say "Tagruato stocks continue to decline as rumors spread that the company was involved in the tragic events in New York City." Then another broadcast would say: "We're getting some breaking news that, it appears something has happened at the Panama Canal..."
From Producer JJ Abrams
Then you see a family in a car crossing the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco. Someone turns on a video camera and films a tail braking the bridge in half.
I chose San Francisco at random, but it could be another city

It should be San Francisco or LA, or London. Or Tokyo. Or Hong Kong.
Or Farmington Hills, Michigan.

If they did this they would have to make it into a comedy. They could add a little voice inside the monsters head.
"Oh look! What are those? There so small and squishy and pink...hmm. I think I'll call them humans! And what's this? Oh! They're rather delicious! Oh! Look here! A bright large metal thing coming at me! What is it? I think I'll call it a bomb! Hello Mr. Bomb! Ow! Mr. Bomb hurts! Where is Mr. Bomb coming from? It's coming from that thing in the sky! And look! Some Mr. Bombs are coming from humans! More food! Oh, theres Rob! Hi Rob!!!"
And then MGP follows Rob around the city. The End.

Don't forget the romantic comedy subplot, where he meets another monster and they have a raunchy, smoke-filled sauna scene, leading to the birth of many more monsters.
Ew. EEEEW.
I wouldn't mind a Hud Marlena sauna scene though.

Curiously the only thing that went through the mind of the bowl of petunias, as it fell, was, 'Oh no, not again.'

Yea, I based the monster on the whale.
Glad you caught that!

That might be an interesting story line...
but I'd really like to see a movie based on the military's POV or maybe like an investigation.
