Enjoy the movie for what it is.

Chill out on all the "theories" and "sequal" ideas. You need to calm down and enjoy the movie for what it is and what we know about it. THats the whole thing about this movie, its supposed to be a mystery.

Dude, just sayin....

You come to an ARG website that's been tracking the game/movie since its inception (June 2007), has figured out numerous clues, found websites, formed websites, and decoded TONS of information.... and tell us to stop speculating? We're enjoying the movie for what we see it as, and that includes the info in the ARG. IMHO, everyone here is calm, we're continuing what we've been doing however, and that is follow the immersive VMC/ARG/Movie that is Cloverfield. If Abrams/Reeves didn't want us to speculate, they wouldve force-fed us everything. Specualtion is a part of the experience as a whole.

No, what most of you are doing is continuing this delusion that a "game" ever existed. It never did. People linked this whole thing to Ethan Hass at the beginning and instead of admitting they made a mistake they just plowed through it and kept this rolling.

I followed this for 6 months. I experienced the magic. Now people are just trying to prolong what was. Like a great party that's now over and a handful of people won't go home.

The least we could do is enjoy what happened, talk about it, have fun as people who experienced it. Like human beings do. But no, lets all talk about sequels and games and clues still.

Fucking ponderous.

Laughing I agree. Although I don't see a problem with talk about sequels.

I agree with what your saying Jaded. And, ill admit I am guilty of the things you mention. Im not going to sit here and deny that. Personally, I would love to see it prolonged. I know many are content to let it die and many would like to see more.

I was one of the ones "tricked", for lack of a better word, by EthanHaas. I bought into that. I however was NOT one of the ones who refused to let it go once it was proven to be unrelated.
I know alot of us have spent or wasted, whatever way you look at it,a lot of time on this movie/game/experience. We watched every move that was made with great detail, examining every little thing, sometimes to a point were it was just rediculus. (the demon in the hair, or the silly lion for example.)

As the movie aproached, and a new trailer came out,the suspense grew. Then there was the tv spots, then the interviews and everything in between. The suspense was incredible. This all led up to one thing. The release of the movie. So, now everything we've all "been through",is over. (And I realize that we havent physically been through anything, just played along) We all watched the movie, multiple times most, and now the experience we've all enjoyed very much comes to a screeching halt. To top that feeling of emptiness, we are left with TONS of our questions unanswered. Most of which we need to come to realize will probably never be answered. And, I get that. Im not thrilled about it, but I get it.

What im trying to say here, is that the initial anticipation we all felt for this movie is not so easily lost. Theres not alot of things I can emerse myself in for 6 months and than completely forgot about it the day after its over. I honestly think that is whats fueling the desire to prolong the exprerience; The feeling of emptiness now that its all over.

People need to wind down before they're going to except there is nothing more coming. Truely, I think there is. but how the hell do I know. I dont.

Eh, I disagree with the sentiment. There were a lot of unanswered questions, and it's fun to kick around theories and such. Plus, you forget that we still have 3 months of manga to look forward to that may actually answer a few things.

As for "the game", well I think we all know this wasn't really an ARG. More of an online story. I won't argue the point here, since it's been chewed on more thoroughly than a New Yorker with a video camera in Central Park. Still, you never know. They might decide to give us some more story, just to keep the ball going until the DVD comes out.

Completley OT, but I must say, that is my quote of the day. Congrats, you are now immortilized in my sig.

**edit**
Though the CP/Profile shows I've made a sig, it is apparent to me that they arent shown on the boards. Damn.

8 more days for me to see the movie. Can't resist the spoilers. Hate myself, a little. Will not watch it online. Jealousy, damn.

I'm hoping that they'll give us a few more pieces until the DVD comes out.

Also, your metaphor. Wow.

Ive figured out the movie actually. The monster is racist. Thats why that slavic guy came up to Hud. He said the Monster is a member of the KKK for monsters and demons. Hell kill anyone that isnt a demon so you better run. The black GI knew about this information but they cant leak it to the public. The bombs just made the monster more racist and at the end he kills Hud because he doesnt like people that eat SLusho. Orientals are his very very least favorite.

Nah. It's all cool. Ya know I look at the join dates of most posting now and it hit me. Almost everyone that was around when I signed up is pretty much gone anyway.

So mainly the ideas and sentiments and opinions that are out of place are mine for the most part. Hell, after six months maybe it's high time I begin to ween myself off this thing anyway.

As for answers not every movie or experience or thing you do in life, nor life itself owes you answers. I mean damn, I watched Oliver Stone's JFK. I still have no clue who really killed Kennedy. Let's do a sequel.

But anyway. I'm about ready to concede this point and move on.
