We are not implying that Slusho is a part of the movie. If you saw the movie I tihnk it's quite obvious that it isn't. We are saying that SBN IS a MAJOR part of the movie that is yet to be discovered totally.
Stay up with the conversation......
Oh trust me I've been up with this conversation when we talked about DSN since it came about in this ARE......WAY BACK IN JULY(give or take a month). Remember that restaraunt review?
SBN is not a major part of the movie.
The game...seems so, or manga maybe, that has yet to be determined.
I don't recall anything mentioning deep sea nectar in the movie.
Therefore.....
nuff friggin said.

SBN CAN be a major part in the movie, but it's not mentioned whatsoever in it.
Look at it this way, and it's been said before SO many times, even in this thread, I get tired of repeating it.
The tanker could've had SBN in it and MGP may have been drawn to it.
But it can also be the other way around and have NOTHING to do whatsoever.

Whoever came up with MGP (mister grumpy pants) should be shot in the head or perhaps chewed up and spit out. I'm officially renaming the monster BFM (big f*cking monster).
Does anyone here seriously think BFM was drawn to New York because of Slusho ingredients. Give me a break.

MGP is way funnier.
And MGP being drawn to the tanker? It can happen. The secret ingredient of Slusho is Seabed Nectar, so since MGP came from the depths of the sea, SBN may have been one of it's food sources. Hence, it's attraction to the tanker if it was carrying SBN.

This may have been brought up, but I thought it was OBVIOUS that Slusho! had a connection to the film. After all, isn't Rob going to Japan as the Vice President of Marketing for Tagruato? And since Tagruato makes Slusho! [the rest is speculation], his brother was wearing the shirt as a joke of some level.
Come on, guys. Let's not act COMPLETELY oblivious.

Yeah, there's THAT too.
The only people who would be oblivious to this are people who see the movie WITHOUT having seen the whole ARG/ARE BEFORE watching Cloverfield.

Seriously people you are not getting the point of this thread.....
never did it start with SLusho IS IN THE MOVIE. Thats not true... its not
Never did i SPECULATE this or anything.... i posted a link to an interview where Matt Reeves (the DIRECTOR OF THE MOVIE ya know) states that Slusho HAS A CONNECTION "IN" THE MOVIE.
So the point of this thread isn't to fight over if Slusho was in the movie in some clip. This thread is to try to establish this CONNECTION that he talks about. Maybe Slusho is a metaphor for something in the movie and we haven't put it together.
Kind of like the animals on the slusho website. I think they are all there to describe the monster. From the horse (eyes), to the pig (malena stated it ATE EVERYTHING), the fish (it swam), the frog (it jumped pretty high to get the heliocopter), etc.
why would the DIRECTOR SAY THAT THERE WAS A CONNECTION IF THERE'S NOT?

I think that Ryomi wants us to come to the conclusion that Slusho must be the cause of the monster in some form or fashion. Whether or not that's true, is still speculation.

A slusho shirt being the connection in this movie is like saying that Ray ban sunglasses has a "connection" to the storyline of Men In Black or if the wachowski brothers said that there was a connection in the movie with the leather they all wore.
1:Slusho shirt = connection (like reeves said) NO
2:Robs slusho job = connection (like reeves said) MAYBE
3:DSN from slusho eaten by monster makes him invincible = connection (like reeves said) THATS WHAT I THINK
4: DSN in oil tanker (which i don't understand why they would carry that in a tanker) = Connection (like reeves said) POSSIBLE
notice i put "(like reeves said)" after everytime i said "connection" because its what HE said. That there is a slusho connection in the movie. And if he was talking about the slusho role in the ARE than why didn't he state the tagruato connection? And i don't understand why someone would think that implies the tshirt hawk was wearing.
