Shite! I was scared to post there for a while. Glad things have settled down.

Back to topic: I had a couple of difficulties with that scene, Hud getting chewed up like Wrigley's Doublemint being the first thing, since he was my fave character. But I watch "24" and THAT show gets rid of major characters left and right, without batting an eye, leaving you feeling shocked and somewhat violated, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. But I have to agree with McPhearson - them not hearing/seeing the monster stroll up to them in the middle of the field was somewhat unbelievable and not unlike the T-Rex scene in Jurassic Park where it showed up out of nowhere INSIDE THE COMPOUND. In any case, due to the previous events, 'copter crash notwithstanding, shock could possibly dull your senses a bit, perhaps not that much, though. Maybe MGP was just tired of the "paparazzi" in his face.

And 2'6"? That's just f'ed up.
