I love Lost, I have watched every episode, and see no goddamned reason WHATSOEVER to assume there is any connection. At all, at all.

They're both J.J. Abrams projects, nothing more than that. He put that flicker of the logo in just to pay homage to Lost and for fans to pick up on then run wild with speculation about.

My theory: When John Locke didn't press the button all the metals got sucked you know? So maybe the magnet pulled the Tagruato satellite down and woke up the monster. (JJ said that the satellite did wake up the monster, somewhere I believe)

I just can't believe after moinths and months of speculation, and going over every clue everywhere, and everybody having 2000 ideas and opinions, and the fact that this entire community seems to be about digging for answers and exploring every option... I just can't believe that everyone is so quick to play it off. If nothing makes sense, then everything makes sense. Again, I restate the opinion that the DHARMA logo is too substantial, and the placement of it on the title card of the video is more important than a slusho t-shirt on heroes. There's wink wink and then there's slap in the back of the head.

Of course, I know since I won't leave this supposed connection alone, I am risking my own slap in the back of the head, hardyhar, but still...

And then I ALMOST talked myself out of this whole mess the other night. If JJ has said that this movie is a "youtubing" of the Godzilla myth, then that would mean that the government tape got leaked and downloaded all over the world. Perhaps, everyone has a copy of this horrible evidence on their hard drive. Which led my buddy to say, "Yeah. Um, maybe you're just watching DHARMA's copy of the tape. From their library."

/sigh

You know, I already have a hobby. I guess I might need another. Very Happy
