If you ask me, the creator of that video is AWESOME! unlike fans in AMERICA who cant think or creative. Australians and British can come up with such amazing fanmade videos but Americans FANS (yes I clearly emphasized FANS)... they SUCK.
In America, you will only see drooling fan members who brags drawings/sketches but cant even make such wonderful home made video.
Ummm, way to seperate the nationalities of the fans of a movie. I think your taking this a little too far. If the person who created this, labeled it as fan art, this would be a different conversation. I'm a huge fan of Gondry and other amazing visionaries and creators. This is a different situation. So instead of trying to divide this forum by nationality and who's the most creative, back away slowly and just put your two cents in on how and what you enjoyed about the clip.

A. Calm. The fuck. Down.
B. The video was not bad for a fan-made thing, but doesn't stand out at all.
C. No offense, but you sound like a moron.

See thats a decent point which gives the creator some credit, but what you said before made you sound like an ignorant prick..who just so happens to not be from the US (we have ignorant pricks too). So keep it to a critique of the work and not of the forum members and where they are from...

I don't believe at any time in the future I will choose to go out and make bogus videos. I will however call you a douche bag and repeat myself, that video sucked.

See how an american fan react.. they will use out of topic info like Gondry..
Hello? its cloverfield, the video that was posted was amazing.
Unfortunaley the sourgraping American Fan members can appreciate such talent since American Fan members here are limited to limited (*disclaimer, Im not generalizing, only those sick depraved members here who criticize yet nothing to prove)

I actually referenced Gondry because of the videos use of his techniques to use projection and obscure layers to portray a dream like look for something supposed to be reality. God damn ignorant douche. Are you just looking for a problem? Because then your in the wrong place, go to IMDB and enjoy yourself.
Do everyone a favor and don't represent people other than Americans because some people might generalize and think everyone not american is just a douche like you.

if you think that video was creative.....then i hope that you are mentally insane. that video sucked balls.
The statue was a toy, the helicopter was fake since it moved only a milimeter (if that) and the smoke from the boat was reallyt bad. plus, i dont think camera phones zoom that smoothly. and i dont think the quality from a camera phone would be that clear either. plus the 'search' light looked like shit.
the monster wasnt even the same one from the movie either.
what a lame movie. i could have done better with dog shit.

That's classic.
It reminds me of the forum posts where someone gets angry and makes a post calling someone else a "moran".
It's amazing how much that happens.

More Footage... In all fairness, this is a cool bit of 'creative respect' to the movie here...
When has there last been a movie 'event' that has produced so many 'homages'...? (in such a small space of time)
This movie is a creative 'wonderland' for many people...and that aint' a bad thing...
And why do we see a guy sat down in boxer shorts, before the Dharma logo...?
