When and if the actual location of a UPS store becomes integrated into the storyline and we're all sitting around saying "le dur! 40 miles and a Krispy Kreme!", by all means, come back and revive this thread.
However, at this time, its already been noted in the wiki . Its been noted on the forums.

You're missing the point. Why would a small business owner, who only has two or three hives, set up shop forty miles away? It's not a question of distance, per se, but of economics.
Please don't take this as rude, but you don't know a lot about running a small business do ya? I run a small web development firm and my office is about 35 miles from home (I live in Detroit, office in Ann Arbor Michigan). That kind of distance isn't really a big deal if you love what you do and the rent on the office is good.
In fact, most small business owners in the US live at *least* 25 miles away from the office. So the fact that the two addresses span that sort of distance, isn't really a big deal.
Also, don't overlook the fact that she may have an office at one location where all the business is done, but another location where the bees would be kept. This is very common case with small food producers.
Even in the large business world, this isn't a big deal. Take the Ford Motor Company for example, they were founded here in the Metro Detroit area, have their World HQ here, a good number of their plants are here, but the business is actually a New Hampshire company because of the lower taxes the states places on large corporations.
So there are good number of reasons why she would do this but as everyone said, who cares..lol. Suspension of disbelief is a requirement on these sorta things..

Switch, On the website, she says that she sells all her honey "at the Yountsville Farmers Market and the Napa Downtown Farmers Market."
Nowhere does she mention San Francisco, except in regards to where Dana lives, and even that is only mentioned in the blog.

I'm really not sure where you're trying to go with this.
That the AI made up a UPS store address in San Francisco? That the address will at some point become important?
I am sure people are keeping an eye on that location in case something evenually does show up in Box 510. I would not worry about it.

No, that the AI is more powerful than we know, and can send things through the mail. But I am just speculating.

He's hopeless if he doesn't catch on by now.
Ignore him, maybe he will go away.

All I'm asking is that you guys at least take it into consideration, and not dismiss me as a complete idiot.

That seems a bit harsh... At least he's coming up with original ideas and potential avenues for research!

Look at it this way....
Is there anything in the plot that would make us think that the physical location of Margaret's bees and the shipping address is significant? So far, this entire story is set inside of a webserver sitting on the rack of some anonymous data center. Though the setting is significantly less sexy, the packages could have been mailed out of Toledo, and honey produced on a farm on the Lake Erie coast. Given the information gleaned from what we know are clues, the physical location of the people involved is completely incidental.
Now at some point those locations may be important, but there is nothing in the story to make us think that they are, other than the fact that Napa-produced honey being shipped out of SF might be a little weird. So, I would file the fact that those locations are kind of far apart as being a little weird, as focus on information the info that we KNOW are clues. The PMs are doubtlessly watching the major forums playing this game, and if they find that we aren't seeing a puzzle that they've put out there, they will find some way to let us know. Remember, they want us to find and solve these things.

Which is exactly why this thread is labeled "speculation".

It is speculation. The issue is whether or not it is appropos to the game as we currently know it.
To put it another way, should be have to speculate as to whether or not a puzzle exists? I don't have a lot of ARG experience, but it seems to of that someone who wants a puzzle to be solved had better find a clear way of telling people that the puzzle is there. Given the multitude of perfectly reasonable explanations as to why the honey is produced in 40 miles from where it shipped, I don't think that those locations alone provide a sufficient clue that there is an undiscovered puzzle out there, and so far the locations have zero to do with what we DO know.

I like where Theif is taking this. With all the Halo references on ilovebees, whose to say that the two locations don't correlate to something in the Halo universe? Of course, any and all speculation can lead to the right or wrong trail, but the idea is fun to toy with
