The Real Monster (Spoiler Spoiler Spolier)... Spoiler The Monster's face look like it was a Rhino.. or something very close to that... while the rest of the body was a really bad rubber suit someone was wearing.. and crawling on the ground in a modeled city, while they set off pyro on his back... this was the worst looking monster i have seen in a long while..all hidden by shitty camera angles, and lots of smoke.
Here is the best shot i can find of the face..
and here is the body from above being shot at by the Military.
1 more fuller body shot...

Great monster, definitely unique fresh design. But let's face it, not everybody is gonna like it. Some may say they dislike it just to get attention.

Sorry.. but i just watched the thing on my PC... and no it's not that great... i'm sure people will like it.. but it was almost as bad as "I Am Legend".. with all the media hype.... seems to be the big blockbuster type movies, what you see in the previews, is the whole movie, showing all the good shit, but leaves out all the crap... I will give this a 6 / 10... but thier are better efects being done on TV without the Millions of dollars budget..... my main reason was to just post the pics of the monster... not tell people not to see the flick... and this is IMO... i'm sure others have different feelings on how they liked it or not.

Yeah, there's your opinion. Have it. But I can argue that I believed for every second of that movie that I was actually watching New York City collapsing before my eyes.

I think part of what made it so awesome was actually paying money and seeing it in a theater with good picture and sound quality in order to get the full effect of what was going on in the film. On the big-screen it takes your breath away!

Please put a spoiler tag in the title of this thread.
There are still some people who have not seen the movie.

The only copies (and pictures) that you can find online were all recorded in the theather ... most of them on camera phone. No wonder you thought it sucked.

I will see the proper one when i get time... and the copy i got was pretty good.. not a DVD rip.. but good enough... and i did put a spoiler TAG on it... then i went back... and made it bigger... I don't mean to upset anyone here...after watching this movie, I got online to see if i could find more info about this Monster.... to tell you the truth... I thought this was going to be a Allien type flick... no idea it was Godzillaish...the little creatures in the subway, and dropping off the monster were pretty cool, could have had more of them running around...

I could see how this movie could be disappointing if you thought it was a Alien type flick. Those Alien movies rely a lot more on suspense and shock value than raw fear and aggression like Cloverfield does. I personally thought MGP was very well done. I would have like to see him appear more amphibious since he is from the bottom of the ocean. But all in all I have to disagree with your opinion.

Now your going to start calling me Retard !... shows that your narrow minded, and don't have a clue of what's going on ..cause someone else has a different take on this movie other than yours, it's not right.? that works in grade school.. i think some of us here have grown up a bit, ya think.?
sorry for the rant..... but yea.. as I said.. i went into this open minded... not knowing what to think. or any idea about the story.. just seeing New York get destroyed was all i knew... not how or by whom.. i just speculated on my own, it was Alliens... .. once again... i'm not saying i didn't enjoy the movie...i was just disapointed in the Monster, that's all.

Look, if you watched this on your computer then that right there is enough to hate it. You need good quality for it.
Not to mention, half of the movie experience for me was the sound. You can't get sound on a computer like you can in a theater.
Go see it in theaters. I promise you you'll like it better.
