[SPEC] ChimpanzIII and MGP

so what if that dark object falling at the end of the movie is that ChimpanzIII satelite that Tagruato is searching for. Perhaps MGP could be inside of it and held captive by the evil chinese government! Why else would tagruato send up a WHOLE satelite to just find one thing?

Everybody hates my name for some reason - deal with it. [/spoiler]

Um, yeah. Just one small tinsy problem, how the hell do you fit something that big into a satellite that is maybe the same size of MGP's head?

I thought the forum pretty much agreed that, what Reves had stated was what we were basing the monsters origin off of.... the sea! The fallen sat is probably what woke the sleeping dooms day monster, all it would have had to do was hit a plate or something send vibrations down to his cave of origin. and BAM we've got out month old NYC ticking time bomb. In the mean time how ever. Tag decideds to go ahead and claim their fallen sat, but in effort to, they come across MGP. MGP which at the time being a large lost and confused animal gets curios with Tag, but of course Tag takes a gargantuan monster as its attacking!! instead of its being curious fires the first shot. In effort to escape their impending doom the flee to the Chuai station, where that takes its hit and sinks. Nobody plays shoot and run with MGP and gets away with it. just my idea on how everything culminates toward MGP being found, and attacking NYC

sorry so long...

I'm sorry, it doesn't add up. We're supposed to assume a small satellite woke up this huge monster off the coast of Coney Island, swam to the Chuai station, then swam back to New York. Not that it's impossible but it just doesn't make sense.

Also, the Tag headline says:
Quote:
Tagruato used the Hatsui satellite to try to identify a rogue piece that is thought to have fallen off of the Japanese Government's "ChimpanzIII" satellite

It was just a piece of the satellite, not the whole thing.

Tagruato didn't send up a whole satellite to find ChimpanzIII, the piece just happened to fall off after it was up there. It is an imaging satellite, and it apparently has tracking capabilities. Here is the info on Hatsui straight off the Tagruato website:

Quote:

Visions of success for Tagruato's Bold Futura subsidiary are no longer limited by gravity. In its first month orbiting Earth, the satellite "Hatsui" has been at peak performance—busily collecting data and securing samples. The satellite signals the first effort by Futura's space program, and is heralded company-wide as a huge success. Images taken by it's cutting edge TagFutura KrystaLens were described by CEO Ganu Yoshida as, "a revelation in imagery." Grinning big, he added, "This equipment will open eyes to worlds never before imagined. It is a bright, united future for all of us." And he meant it. In their latest gesture to reach out to fellow man, Tagruato used the Hatsui satellite to try to identify a rogue piece that is thought to have fallen off of the Japanese Government's "ChimpanzIII" satellite. Although Hatsui's work has not yet been able to confirm the identity of the fallen piece, Tagruato scientists and engineers are busily trying to track and recover the fragment. According to Hatsui data, it disappeared into the Atlantic Ocean late last week.

Bold Futura's Head Aeronautical Engineer Wada Arinori proudly touted the watchdog effort as the first of many. Hunched happily over a computer, he beamed, "In my 11 years for Tagruato, I see us grow in power, and also in caring. Such teamwork effort is huge stride."

Future plans for the Bold Futura space program are still under wraps. Although with the success of Hatsui and ample funds dedicated to development and galactic research, it is certain to be big. Added Yoshida, "Our first step into space was a triumphant one. Our next will be unforgettable."

1) the object wouldn't be chimpanzIII. at best, it would be only a piece of it. read through the tagruato headlines a little more thoroughly.

2) it wouldn't be the chinese government because chimpanzIII is a japanese satellite.

3) tagruato didnt send up a satellite to just find one thing. they launch their own satellite to help in "collecting data and securing samples". as a "gesture to reach out to fellow man" they volunteer their satellite (hatsui) to help in the search for the rogue piece of chimpanzIII

Riiight... Just like every Russian satellite in orbit is a "weather satellite"...

It's because your name is associated closely with a rather persistent troll that prowled uF. Of course, you could be that asshat, or you could be someone completely different, hard to say, but that's probably why you have received a negative reaction.

All you have to do now is tell us the monster is Godzilla.
