Proper name for MGP Since J. J. Abrams has stated that MGP is only just a baby, wouldn't it be more proper for us to to refer to him not as "Mister Grumpy Pants", but as "Master Grumpy Pants" instead?

Okay... I got it.
We take Mr. GrumpyPants and we get rid of the Mr. part right?
Then we change the Grumpy so something else, and like a porn star, we just drop the pants all together...
And from there we can create something that doesn't seem so... childish.
If we can't think of anything at all... The we can just use "Clover" as our safety net.

What if we don't act retarded and don't involve the words "mister", "grumpy" and "pants" when we talk about the monster?
I think the "monster" suits it fine.
Calling it MGP is like calling Godzilla a chameleon.

I vote Mister Grumpypants, or Clover, or Darwin (best reasoning evar.)
"Apparently the production crew referred to the monster as "Clover," but we're going to call it Darwin, because it single… six-handedly removes a large amount of stupid from the gene pool."

Oh, come on. Even MGP isn't half as childish as uF.

I like MGP for short as it sounds like a military acronym. If it were to have a proper name I would like something in the line of Mongra, an combination of Monstridae Grandis minus the Profundum (the scientific classification of MGPfound here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23918&start=15 ).

I think MGP is a bit silly, but at the same time, the acronym itself is nice. Clover works fine for me as well, but if you wanna fit the movie's mysterious feel and mesh with the field of crytpozoology (the study of creatures that may or may not exist), why not just refer to it as 'the Cloverfield Monster'?
