Words from the cremation...

I think it might be a good idea if someone who is fluent in Spanish
would translate what the Spanish-speaking man at the crematory window
was actually saying.

For at least a couple of reasons:

The first is that someone on another site realized that the words
which came before "la respuesta es naranja" ["The answer is orange"]
were something like: "Que malos - color de"
followed by something that sounded like "overa or hovera"

I know very little Spanish, but enough to order Ranch-style eggs
(huevos "rancheros") so I figured the last word might be "huevos" (egg),
since eggs have an orange-y-yellow center.

So using that reasoning this is what I posted to her over there
at the Netscape Push Dialetics site:

Could it possibly have been:
*Cuál es el color de un mal huevo?*

That's the babelfish translation of the question:
*What is the color of a bad egg?*

And that's followed by the answer: "la respuesta es naranja"
"The answer is orange."

Not to imply that Caleb was a bad egg... but there it is... perhaps?

Another reason for having someone "catch" the actual Spanish words
being spoken, is that Hispanics have a rich fable, myth, legend and
story tradition of their own.
Why would an Hispanic person be relating and African myth?

If someone can get a good translation, would you please post it here?

I didn't translate these words myself. They were printed on the television during episode 3 as he was speaking.

Notice though that the word they used for orange (naranja) is the fruit. The color orange in spanish is anaranjado. This could point to the article on PushTimes about blood oranges.

It's not African, it's aboriginal...that's Australian.

I realize the sub-captioning/subtitles were visiable
on the screen.

I don't know what made me seize on the idea
that the story was African.

Aboriginal, as someone else pointed out,
just means a native people.

Odd thing about the word is that in Latin...
the prefix "ab" means "away from"
So ab-original would seem to imply that...
the native people of a region came from
somewhere else.

Just one of those strange words...
that seems to have an internal contradiction
a contradiction of its meaning!

And hard as I looked I couldn't find this
particular death myth for any aboriginal people.

Still don't know what the man was saying...
Or whether or not it's a hint or anything...
But, not shouting just using caps for emphasis, here:

I'D STILL LIKE TO SEE A RELIABLE TRANSLATION
OF WHAT THE SPANISH MAN AT THE CREMATORIUM
WAS SAYING.
