No, it is not over.
"How do you know?" You ask?
Tagruato and TIDO were locked when the movie came out. A few days after the movie was release, they were unlocked. Therefore, the producers obviously have a use for them after the movie.

I think it's over until a sequel has been scripted...

I was wondering, however, do you think once the movie is out, this ARG may actually continue...?
It would be a nice reward and make the film more memorable and it would save us from a potentially terrible sequel that is only made to fill in plot holes.
You've probably already figured this out but I can confirm the answer is "yes." We're working on organizing a post-campaign chat with the Puppetmasters...details to come when the campaign is, well, over.

Yeah I honestly think that the Manga online is the main focus now in this VMC. I'm not looking for anything else from the websites....but I have been wrong before in all of this.

Good way of putting it... I think we've seen the "experience", and the "game" is forthcoming.

I gotta ask....what would be the purpose of an actual ARG starting now? IMHO that is wishful thinking, although I wouldn't be against it. Fact is...the movie has proven itself beyond a shadow of a doubt to be a hit with the general public.
An actual ARG would make complete sense if it perpetuated the entity that is the Cloverfield Monster. I cannot however see any sort of ARG now starting that would lead up to a sequel.
Ok I'm done babbling.
To answer the original OP Question: Yes....yes it is.

I don't know, but SpaceBass says there will be a chat with the people behind the ARG/ARE/VMC.....whatever the hell you want to call it,once the campaign is over. So I'm supposin it'll be after the movie is released everywhere. So, even if this doesn't continue, at least we get a sit down with the peeps behind all this.

Well techically the big part of the ARG is still going, we DO NOT know for sure what MGP looks like, they built him up like Muhammad Ali Vs. George Foreman and let us down by never showing him fully like Oscar Delahoya Vs. Tito Trinidad...Noone but a VERY few know what he actually looks like. They just showed us enough to get our imaginations stirring like a movie staring Angelina Jolie and Hale Berry.....fuuuuuuckkkkk
