[SPEC] Link between insect theme and AI

Hey everyone,

Just started looking into this thing today, had never heard of an ARG before, but sounds interesting., just amazed how in depth the whole thing goes! Shocked

Anyway I didn't notice any threads concerning why the insect theme may be so prominent. I've gathered the concensus is that the Operator is an AI program, which makes sense.

Has anyone read Michael Crighton's 'Prey'? It describes AI programming techniques and how the network of programs/robots are programmed as if they are insects in order to work.

May be relevant here and might clear up reasons why insects are talked about so much? Maybe the operator speaks in this way because that is how the AI is programmed?

So your saying that the insect theme behind the story and dialog is coincidently on a website about bees? Too much of a coincidence for me.. i think that the insect theme was created by the AI because the bee site was the only channel it was picking up.. Smile
