 		Yeah but we are talking about a movie with a giant monster. If MGP can defy logic why not the stuff Marlina was infected with?

Don't think so. Because what you would end up with is a very puffy monster, not really a bigger monster. Not to mention is shoud've added weight slowing his movements. While MGP isn't fast, he doesn't look built for speed either. I don't see him swatting the helicopter if he's full of fluid.
Though maybe thats how Tang gets the SBN from the parasites.

Well that's going under the assumption that they are injecting it into the MGP, it's actually quite possible that the supposed venom is just their saliva and it incidentally acts as a venom. Back to whether or not the SEATS (Something Else, Also Terrible) are parasitic, I speculate that they merely feed on the top layer of of the MGP's skin, which causes it only minor discomfort as you can plainly see it make an active atempt to remove them.

Good point! What if MGP is the carrier and the parasites are like mosquito's that spread the infection. It could affect humans differently than MGP and the parasites since they may be immune to it. It also may be a way the little ones feed? Kind of like when some spiders inject venom into it's prey to soften the flesh so they can drink it up.

 		This may be slightly off the topic, but did anybody else think that the noise the SEATs made was familiar?

Edit: I also agree that it is not the SEATs that make MGP so big. He would just be a giant flesh balloon with little bones floating around inside. I also think that it is something volatile (spelling?) about the eco-system that BOTH of the creatures come from that makes them both so deadly (deadly for different reasons).

Like I said in another thread: It's a great reflection on how crazy dangerous MGP is, that even his crabs make people explode like they've been put into a microwave without having holes poked in them first.

Yes, they seriously sounded like they had my Chihuahua's growl in their audio track. My wife also noticed that too.

There's little cans you can buy at a novelty store, or the "Cheap junk" section of Wal-Mart/Target. Some of them moo, some whistle, and some, when you shake them, make the same "gugga-gugga-gugga" sound that the SEAT's make. My kid had one a few years ago, got it during Halloween. When they started making that sound I sat up and thought:

"Is that??..... nahh..."

But they've used stranger things for sound samples in movies before.

 		Could be MGP's young instead of parasites. there are plenty of amphibious creatures that rear their young on their backs. Seahorses and some frogs do this. And if you want to debate the shape of MGP .vs Parasites, a frog starts out as something completely different than what it becomes.

 		I like the parasite ideas, but I have had my own theories about the little buggers. I wonder if they are some form of strange symbiotes of MGP. They go off, grab dinner for our happy giant killing machine and while in the process of doing so, bite the food, infect it, the food explodes and dies which makes it easier to eat when it gets back to the afforementioned giant killing machine. In turn, they get to feed off of some kind of body chemical that MGP creates on his skin. Either that or MGP is the big, bad daddy/momma and he makes all the kids go fetch his food for him. Laughing I could swear there was a show on the Discovery channel where animals did this that weren't ants. I wish I could remember...
