i've seen this tossed around a lot. this idea that hud was bitten in half. has this been proven somewhere that i haven't seen? it seems to me rob & beth would have had a much more horrified reaction than they did if they came up on half of huds body. also, i would think there would be much more blood (on both his body and the camera) if he were bisected.

Not mathematically.

When talking about 'being bitten in half' its generally accepted that the actual meaning is 'into two pieces' as apposed to 'munched into a pasty delicious pulp'

On a six foot person that would put the point of seperation roughly just below his sternum I think. Meaning not much more was there than what we saw on camera.

 		With the size of the monster, why would there be anything left of Hud? With a mouth that big, he should have swallowed him whole and left a crater in the ground where he grabbed him. Also, I would think the torso of a human would have the most edible parts yet that is what is left. I guess the monster likes legs.

So as not to be off topic:

There's no way Marlena's alive. She's dead. She BLEW UP. As in EXPLODED.

As for Jason, well, I hope he's dead. Because if not, getting crushed between a moster's appendage and part of a bridge and THEN falling into the water from an extremely high altitude would have hurt. A lot.

And poor Hud. What a bad way to go... but he's dead too. I agree with the whole being chomped in half theory... seeing as how he really was too clean after being thrown out of MGP's mouth. Yuck!

Rob & Beth theoretically should be dead, too. Considering all of the injuries they sustained that day (Beth somehow recovering quickly from being thrust onto a sharp, pointy thingy, and both of them surviving a "moster tosses helicopter into the ground" crash), a bombing would have been enough to finish them off. Plus, it would have been nice to know that their last words to the world were to proclaim their love to one another.

I think Lily's alive. She should be. Someone has to live to tell the story, and it wouldn't be fair if no one had to live with the sadness of it all. I feel bad for her, but hey- she's a toughie.

Yeah, she definitely didn't go down in a chopper, but... WHY would they bring her back? I mean, maybe I could see her being called in on account of the tape but other than that, there's plenty of witnesses to pick from and there's no way she'd be any kind of subject matter expert.

Oh im talking like 10 seconds in a possible sequel...jus show her being interviewed or something as camereaman walks by or something like that....something small

They were horrified. They spent like 2 minutes under the bridge just trying to get themselves together.


that's hardly proof. they were made privy to the militarys plans to wipe out the area if they couldnt contain the monster. and being that they had just come within feet of it, i'm pretty sure the 2 minutes was spent trying to stay out of its view as well as maybe find a spot that might protect them from the hammerdown.
