Personally, I'd prefer Rob's place. It was way cooler. Had more personality.

I think it's pretty clear in the movie that beth's dad's place is different from beth's place, so while beth clearly lives in the time warner center I think her dad probably lives somewhere else, like say, trump tower, where they filmed that scene.

The monster's place was quite nice, it was so cozy it could make you sleep for thousands of years, up until Tagruato drilled into it and woke the bastard up. And do I have to say it, the rest is histroy.

Hugh could not have been Beth's father. He was 38 when he died ... http://www.lostpedia.com/wiki/Hugh_McIntyre

Saw the movie again today and noticed something...
Rob says Beth lives on the 39th floor.
Well, they go up the adjacent building to the 57th or so floor. They come out on the roof, go in, and her place is right there (unless I missed a jump cut).
Think about that...her building should be shorter, to begin with, and not only that, it's leaning over. It would be even shorter. But for some reason they have to go up 50 stories to cross to the 39th story of Beth's building?

Maybe I just missed the cut. I don't remember clearly, it was pretty dark during that part.

They went all the way up so they could get onto the roof of the other building, then proceeded downstairs...so the 50th floor thing was just to get onto the roof

Have you tried Google Earth and scan trough the "Central Park" area of New York? there are things in this world which requires "resourcefulness" than being lazy and ask others about it. Hey nothing better than you do it your own thing!

did any of you happen to notice where beth'd dad's place is. he must be super rich if he has an apartment that high up near central park...btw the building that the apartment was leaning onto was that trump tower? the lobby looked familiar.

Google Earth? Hell! Just use Google Maps to get an overview. You don't even need a separate program.

PS. Beth's place is definitely in the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle. If she lives with her parents, we're not for sure. From what I can remember, it looks like the same place to me.
