Actually, I decided to call it "Tadpole."

it's a duel meaning thing:

The American Daikaiju

T.A.D.

For those who don't know what 'Daikaiju' means, it's Japanese for "Giant Monster."

and the reason for calling it 'tadpole' simply because the production notes states that it's a 'newborn.'

 		If I don't call it MGP, I just call it "The Monster". Everyone on this forum knows MGP, everyone else gets it when you say "Cloverfield Monster".

Who knows what you're talking about when you say Darwin? I almost asked who that was, untill I saw it was yet ANOTHER silly name for the monster.

that's what I've been saying... I mean, call it what you want I suppose... Granted, I'll never agree that MGP should be the official name simply because of my own opinion that it dumbs our monster down a bit. But then again, so does Clover, Tadpole, and Darwin. If anything the most official-unofficial name is 'Clover' simply because that's the name that the creators gave it. If there isn't going to be an official name for it, then more than likely it will take on the same persona as the Shark from the movie JAWS did;

People either know that shark as "JAWS" or by the name the creators gave it "Bruce."

I prefer to call it ATT (A Terrible Thing).

That's my favorite line in the movie and I think it suits the monster quite well.
