[SPEC] Godzilla and Cloverfield

 		[SPEC] Godzilla and Cloverfield
Formerly known as: You guys might think Im stupid... but listen...
Ok. When Godzilla came out... (im sorry for all of you godzilla theory haters... i had my doubts for awhile... until now...) BUT! it was 1998. When the Cloverfield monster attacks, it was Saturday May 23rd. And the last May 23rd Saturday was in 1998.

I swear to God, that like a week before Godzilla came out (and dont even tell me Im psycho, cause this did happen) on the news, there was a preview for the movie. And it showed it, and a building falling down and stuff. But when the preview ended, I remember the news guy saying something along the lines of "It was not Godzilla that knocked down this building, but something else..." That bugged me for years... and now, all this happens. But what if, yknow?

Dont make fun of me or anything! Im just trying to help with this whole situation! Theres just soo many connections between the two movies.

And at the beginning of godzilla, godzilla attacks a ship, was it an oil rig? Or just some plain old ship? someone help me out on this one.

One more thing: The scene where Hud dies, like three planes fly by toward th city, and yet, the monster appears in a completely different direction than the direction in which the planes were flying. so either there was two cloverfield monsters... or they were attacking something else entirely...

Once again. Please dont criticise. Just stating some opinions!

Well. You're talking about the US Godzilla release right? I don't see how it would have been possible for a newscaster to make a report about Godzilla because in that movie (which is more of an alternate dimension rather than apart of the actual franchise) they wouldn't have known what to call it. Also, I don't remember seeing that trailer at all but that doesn't mean it didn't exist.

I believe the boat attacked in Godzilla was a fishing boat (or a submarine). It was definitely not an oil rig.

Nobody is sure why the monster was in the park looking around while planes were off bombing some other unknown location. Maybe he called a timeout? Either way it's being heavily scrutinez in several other places.

Also, in case you didn't know, the last Godzilla movie was Godzilla Final Wars. There's a patent lock on it for at least a decade so there aren't going to be any more of those for a long while.

Giant monster movies typically draw a lot of parallels. I suppose that's the nature of the genre. Your idea wasn't stupid, but maybe a tad bit far fetched maybe?

they grew up and joined the working force... one stands outside of "Home Depot" waiting for a contractor to hire him. One actually became a doctor... he does mammograms.

1-This isn't helping with any situation. There is no situation. The Cloverfield monster is completely unrelated to GINO or the original Godzilla either.

2.At the beginning of Godzilla they start tracking the thing across the globe until it ends up in NYC. It arrives during the day and walks all over the city. This does not happen in Cloverfield. The only daytime stuff that takes place is the bomb early in the morning at the end of the show.

3-While some people like to think there's a connection, there really isn't. I loved American Godzilla and I dislike the original. I want to see another Godzilla film with GINO in it. With that being said, Cloverfield was not that film, nor does it relate to said film.
