Location: Where the cheese is free.

Only the New York camera came with instructions to face North.
Which, based on the newest image... They did.

these signs aren't just lying everywhere in the future to the point where you could take a picture wherever you wanted and would happen to see one in the tachyon images

You 're forgetting that we're dealing with time travelers....

Even though the resistance members who are here are now stuck in our own time, all they'd have to do is have open directives within their cells, or cells operating in proximate areas, to place the signs at the location of our photos within a window of time that would guarantee that they'd be seen by us today...

We're only talking around three years from now... so if the message is that important, it could be part of the resistance's planning....

Please don't get me started with time travelling, I'd end up writing a novel on it. Understand that Steve got even more specific instructions as to what to photograph. The photos are then posted to the IG publicly accessible site that would let the sign's locations be known to both the resistance and Skynet in the future. The cat and mouse game of preventing these signs from being placed and relocating the signs to facilitate the original tachyon photo would end with the signs being placed in "safe" locations first, then the cameras placed in the present and instructions given to locate the signs, since we would not know where to look for them unless we were told.

We take the photos which are then placed on the publically accessbile site, which Skynet would then find, which would prompt it to send terminators to prevent the resistance from then placing the signs in the "safe" locations...

Right, that's the cat and mouse game I was referring to. But since we do end up taking those pictures successfully, it means that the resistance broke the cycle by placing the signs in locations where the machines could not get to them.

I know that the NY instruction set said to face north and take a picture, is the same true of LA? If it is, can the same be true for the TX and FL site?

I have just returned from my third attempt to find the canister, unfortunately I was unable to find it. As Euchre has asked are we certain that this set of coordinates are correct or have been de-ciphered correctly? Are we sure that the canister has actually been placed? Do we know if anyone else has found the canister and may not post here?

Have any new clues been posted regarding the locations of the two missing canisters. If the FL coordinates are correct, I am very familiar with Seminole County FL which isn't technically Orlando but it's close enough. Anyway sorry for all the questions, just a little frustrated with having tried to locate 3 times and not being able to find it.

Do you think it might have been another case of 'somebody else' (ie. Zoltan) picking it up?

My instructions said nothing about facing north to take the picture. As for finding the cannister, it was actually about 20-30 feet off, actually being to the north/northeast of where google maps pinpointed.

It was pretty shallowly dug, so I'd look for anything that looks like recently disturbed earth, maybe a trowel or something to poke at the ground with.

As for someone already getting it who's not a member of this community, that's definitely always a possibility.

Well 20-30 ft would put in on the other side of the walking trail so I'll have to check it out the next time there. As for the freshly dug ground, most of the ground in this area is soft and with recent rains it all looks freshly dug. Wink

Was any part of the canister showing or did you happen upon it?

If it's rained recently, that might help, as it did me (my daughter, actually). The recent rains here had washed away the dirt a little bit so that the top of one end was peeking through the ground. Look for something shiny and/or metallic blue.

In the newest picture, it looks like they're using an M198 howitzer, something that was first used in '82. Not sure if that's of any relevance, but it's very similar to what you see in this picture. So, yeah. For what it's worth.

Edit: Added underlines so people see the link.

Try checking the coordinates on various gps map sites, and see if there's a commonality. i know sometimes google satellite imagery (likely other sites too) may be slightly off their actual coordinates.

Going solely by the the dot on a satellite image may be inconclusive... obviously if you have a GPS device, that would yield more accurate locations.

As for pictures, I believe both cameras had instructions to include coordinates, or at least a known location - so that's definitely a pointer that the resistance wants to place the symbols in view of the future-photo. "Facing north" may just be their way of ensuring they put it at the right angle - or, a description or easily visible indicator of angle/location.

Also, remember that we're telling Enitech these things - not the future resistance. However, Enitech is storing all these photos and information we're giving them for the survivors in the future. If we tell Enitech the coords and directions, the resistance will get them in the future. No need to actively hide the information from skynet - just make sure they're able to get to those locations and post the signs in time for the future-photos.

Anyway, here are the two traced patterns so far...

I just thought I would point out that if these are to make some sort of map or picture, being that they are equilateral triangles we will need to find 4 more to make anything out of them. So we may have a ways to go...

Been trying to align the pieces and am pretty confident that they would have to be directly opposite each other in a hexagram layout.

Best alignment other than that is if LA were at twelve o'clock and NY would be two positions clockwise. But there are a couple of un-connectable lines in that arrangement.

Or, I could be way off.. There's a lot missing.
