Here's a thought:

If you chop the movie into thirds (or fourths), you'll see that the 6-4-2 ratio fits relatively well with how many surviving characters are on screen at that moment.

At the beginning, during the party, all of the six main characters are there. Beth leaves and Jason makes his grand exit around a fourth of the way through the movie (remember, I'm talking about real time, not movie time). For roughly fourth of the movie Rob, Lily, Marlena, and Hud make their way towards Midtown to rescue Beth. At roughly the halfway point of the movie, Marlena makes her exit and the group rescues Beth, helping keep the number at four. The last fourth of the movie sees our group slowly pared down to only two (Lily escapes and Hud… well, yeah) : Rob and Beth.

I was actually thinking the same thing...6 to 4 to 2 at the end...but how it fits in is beyond me...but i duno if that slusho robot game is anything...everytime i play it makes the same damn robot

slusho zooooom!!!! Laughing

also... the Bible connections aren't strong and are not something JJ Abrams would do.

I might be bringing up something totally obscure here, but JJ has actually done some work on another project, people are calling it "Lost", there are a lot of biblical references/themes in that. Iuno, you might want to check into it before joining this board and making comments about something you don't know about.

Somewhat irrelevant, here, just something I noticed after seeing the movie again today...

The movie starts and ends at 6:42 AM (Cloverfield time).

Beginning of the movie: Rob - "Beth's dad's place...6:42 AM...and it's already a good day."
End of the movie: Rob - "It's Saturday, May 23rd, the time is...[checks watch] 6:42 AM, approximately seven hours ago someTHING attacked Manhattan. If you're watching this you know more about it than I do." etc.etc.

I just thought it was kinda neat.

Thats actually very relevant to what we've been discussing...no one was 100% on the time the movie ends...but that proves it...it goes with thewhole 6:42 thing we've been tlaking about

Ah. Yeah, now that I've backpaged a bit I see what's going on.
I'm not a fan of the whole numbers game thing but there's probably something there.

I'm still kinda more concerned about some of the dates... Mainly the September 10th, 1969 thing, as that's still unresolved but obviously included for some reason.
But...yeah. Recurrence of 6. "You can't drink just six", 6:42 beginning and end, the subway being the six, yatta.

Yeah id like to kno more about that as well... also id like to kno if theres another password to the jamieandteddy website...for some reason that and the slusho robots seem to be the answer to maybe another site or something...or i could be insane...which is probably more true

Wasn't the date flashing at the end of the movie September 18th 1969?

Here's some more silliness:

6:42 = 6 hours 42 minutes= 402 minutes

Of course, I have no meaning for this, other than more references to 4s and 2s, and of course adding each digit makes 6

Edit: fixed labels

Does anybody else have numbers they want to share? If not, i'll go ahead.

911. 9+1+1= 11. 1-1. Add 1 and 1 and you get 2. 1/18/8. 1+8=9. 18/9=2.

Coincidence? Who had the most to gain from 911? Abrams! Who was nowhere to be seen at the scene of the crime? Abrams! And last but not least, probably the most damning evidence of all:

At first I thought it was nothing, but after zooming in:

You almost got away with it, you sneaky buthole.
