Seriously.
Pathetic

Uh, this would be a lot more convincing if the above three posts weren't originating from the same IP.

Please read the Terms of Service for this forum before continuing in this manner.

Cheers!

wrong!

I hate to be disagreeable - but...

No... it wouldn't be much more convincing.

Maybe less pathetic?

Can't a mod just shut this thread down? This is getting ridiculous.

Dispite the stupidity of posting three times as different people, this does actually look interesting. I found a banner ad linking to it from another forum i'm on, then came over here, used search, and found this thread.

As far as i can tell from the website, it's some sort of webisode/tv show thingy about a guy named Derek who dissapears on the day of his University graduation. his family and friends assume he's dead, but recently messages from him have started appearing on the internet. Plus, theres something about terrorism and bombs, and a cool video with some ridiculous looking technology (that's "ridiculous" in both an ironic and literal sense there). Sort of general sci-fiey, "mysterious dissapearance" ARGish fare.

Despite the semi-stereotypical storyline, the video quality is top notch.

Wikipedia describes it as a "Social Reality Game"...why didn't they just say ARG and get over with it? Sure, it's a nice term, but to me, it has tinges of "let's give it a unique name so it sounds awesome". Now, yes i know this is Wikipedia and not the game itself, but all the major edits to the wikipedia page have been by one guy who's only contributions have been to that page...leading me to believe it's the creators behind it. As well, i just noticed that the talk page has a note from the same guy describing a "Social Reality Game" as a cross between an ARG, a video series, and social networking. Hmm. Still sounds like an ARG to me.

It appears to have been around since September '07, but just got into full swing last week.

...hmm, wonder if i should edit the article to say it's an ARG, not a "SRG"...

Hey there.
I'm a member at NWM. THe first three people I don't know but the last one, JohnLennon2 is an actual player liek myself.
It's not a bad ARG (or SRG as they have dubbed it).
It goes like this.
Weekly episodes. Episodes contain clues that unfold more of the story of the disappearance of one Derek Francis Border. It's semi-difficult and fun. It's not really a full fledged ARG but none the less it's great to do on the side.
