Another E-mail.

Quote:

...and one more thing...I just mentioned it to another...his physical
shape seems to be fine. But he's been in the box for nearly two weeks.
Shouldn't he be showing signs of poor nutrition, dehydration and the like?

Back to work...

hmm..

Morcar was alone. He was just showing signs of movement...his body
shuddered a few times. Now he's still again. I've put a blanket over him
as he's kind of cold. Back to waiting as I slowly back the machine down.
Getting close. I figure I'll have a few more hours of this before I can
safely remove him.

As for the suits...no direct interaction...other than what most seem to
think may have been them delaying me at the airport. I don't follow the
motives of them delaying me if they're going to allow me to work. I think
there may have been something else behind it.

It would appear we may find out the next steps later on.. After all Edwin will need a way out of Berlin, Which I messaged him about, After Korp may control the Airport customs...

Anyone try to email Morcar and reassure him that his brother is there? He seems to be able to interact, however crudely, while in the box.

From Edwin:
Quote:

Excellent news! I've got the device basically off. As far as I can tell,
there's no more "in-machine" behavior. Unfortunately, he's still
unconscious. His breathing is very even and his vitals seem ok. I'm
considering removing him from the unit...I'm only hesitant because if I'm
wrong, I might do a great deal of harm.

I need to plan how to get him back home now. What do you and the others
think? I didn't plan this far ahead...unlike me but an obvious oversight.

Hope you don't mind, Erin...I'm cc-ing this to a few others in hopes of
ideas.

Edwin

also, i told him to sweep for cameras.

Quote:
I did as you suggested and swept the room. I'm afraid that micro-cameras
and espionage are not an area I excel in. While I found nothing, you have
made an excellent point. This may be beyond me. Any suggestions? I
checked the phone, behind the wall art, the lamps, the vents...everything
you'd check if you were an action movie star...

No matter. We'll soon have him out. Now, to get him home.

And another, with my reply on top.

Quote:
Yes, definitely.

But what if Korp has infiltrated and the queen's plane pilate is korp?!

i don't know how to fly...but I should know the pilot. I've worked with
most of her charges. She can probably identify the person before hand.
Thank you for looking ahead. That should make it much easier to
anticipate potential issues.

I've reached her. She has a contact who will have a plane fueled for us.
It should be ready in less than and hour. Now my concern is removing
Morcar. If I'm wrong and he's not "out", I would most likely turn him
into a vegetable.

From Edwin.. with my reply below it..

From Edwin:
Quote:

No more news as far as the Korp or airport hassles are concerned. I'm
still very aware that the might not be done. I need the passengers' minds
here. Any suggestions as to how I might get him out of here (considering
he's both unconscious and probably being watched)?

I'm leaning towards sea freight for the Box...after I dismantle some of it
so that even in theft it's non-functional.

As for Morcar, I'm hoping he will come to, but barring that, does anyone
know how to get an unconscious man onto a plane with minimal questions?

My reply:
Quote:

If money is no concern.. just box up the box, slap a FedEx Label on it.. and mail her on
home..

Morcar himself.. hmmm.. a little trickier..

Maybe get a wheelchair, and a ratty shawl.. and some cheap makeup..
Make him look like he's 90 years old.. and very sick..
they shouldn't bother you too much with him...
fly first class though.. and frequently mention going home to die in peace.

*shrugs*
-Jon

Maybe the others can think of something better...

Reply from Edwin:
Quote:

I'm not really the best of actors. Despite that, I applaud your
creativity. I will contact my Queen. She can probably arrange private
travel.

My Reply:
Quote:

Cool plan..

How long do you think that will take to set up?
We eagerly await news of you guys being home safe...

-Jon

Edwin:
Quote:

I will contact my Queen in a few more minutes. I'm finishing up a few
other checks on the equipment...looking for traces of activity in this low
power state.

Once done, I will need to leave him as briefly as possible to get things
going. I have to discreetly get a packing company to grab the box from
the room. After that, I should be fine....I'll update you in a moment.

my immediate reply:
Quote:

NO!!..

Do not leave him.. Something is going to happen.. we all feel it.

You cannot leave him unattended.. They are watching you.

!!!

-Jon

Edwin:
Quote:

I understand your concern but I have a dilemma. If I remove him and I'm
wrong, I'm afraid I will kill him. I can't possibly move him and the
box...far beyond my ability and no way to be discreet.

I agree that I should stay but I'm stuck.

From me:
Quote:

I heard The Queen has sent a "contact" to have a plane ready to go for you...

here's my suggestion.. scope the place out.. look around.. check for signs of ANYTHING
that doesn't look right.

The whole group here does not trust this whole situation.. Something is just not right.

-Jon

From Me:
Quote:

Edwin!!

You HAVE to stall the Queen.. she Cannot get her hands on The Box..
Hide it.. Do Anything you can think of.. You MUST disable The Box.. Both you and Morcar's life is hanging in the balance...
This is all wrong...
!!!!!
GET OUT OF THERE!!!!

Edwin:
Quote:

I will leave the room for a moment to try Loli's plan. It seems the only
alternative given these unfortunate options.

I will try not to be gone more than a few moments.

This is a little morbid, but if you could procure an airfreight coffin, and pass him off as deceased and put him in the cargo hold. If he's unconscious, he might make the trip and be none the wiser.

Otherwise, it might be better if you stayed in the area to lay low until Morcar recovers a bit.

Edwin:
Quote:
Thank you for the suggestion. It could work but I worry about Morcar regaining consciousness on a 17+ hour flight and being traumatized. He's already gone through an incredible ordeal.

I will contact my Queen. She can probably make arrangements to get us out of here.

Me:
Quote:
Could the machine have retained Morcar's… essence?

Could the machine have completely absorbed him?

Have you actually seen Morcar conscious since you disconnected the box? Have you turned the box on and tried to interact with it?

If he turned the machine to its highest setting… there's no telling what's happened.

Edwin:
Quote:
The box isn't off...it's at it's lowest setting where it won't draw new information...it's just sitting in test mode. I can't identify whether he's still stuck inside...there just aren't any signs...

Me:
Quote:
Edwin.

When you contacted the Queen, did she present you with a Key to validate her authenticity?

Are you POSITIVE that it was really her?

I think you should take the box and escape. You're in terrible danger and it would be pointless to lose both you and your brother. Get out while you can.

Edwin:
Quote:
It was surely her. She new of my rank and role in this...well...

Oh...now I'm very confused. You make an excellent point. I can't verify her identity based on the conversation we had. I will try to contact her again and I will ask for specific information. There are things only she should know.

New email from Edwin

From me:
Quote:
Given your delay at the airport upon arrival, we think you should
check your luggage and tools for any tampering or bugs. Should
probably check the box and Morcar for any tracking chips as well.
Don't want the Korp able to follow and ambush you.

In regards to the box, perhaps you should keep it where you can keep
an eye on it if you are returning in private transport. But
dismantling it beforehand is probably a good idea either way. You
don't want it used again.

Ash

From Edwin:
Quote:
Agreed. I've checked my equipment. The only thing odd was an
unauthorized entry on my computer. The key stroke log didn't find
anything however

From Me:
Quote:
Is this the same computer you've been using to communicate with us?
And to get Morcar out of the box?

From Edwin:
Quote:
Yes...well...to communicate anyways. As I said...I ran the keystroke log.
I found nothing. Are those that fragile?

From Me:
Quote:
Can you do an old school diagnostic on the computer...check for
spyware, malware, viruses and trojan horses. Did you contact the
Queen via this computer?

And did you at ANY time hook this computer up to the box while Morcar
was attached?

From Edwin:
Quote:
It's a Mac. I only have the standard protections enabled. I have
wireless. I could download something while I wait.

I did contact the Queen with my computer. I was worried about using my cell.

From Me:
Quote:
I wouldn't trust communications with the Queen. How do you know for
sure it is her?

From Edwin:
Quote:
I didn't connect the box and the computer. No worries there.

If you think so, I can cease communication with this machine. I have an
iPhone but it's not very easy to reply on.

From Me:
Quote:
Use the phone, please stop using the computer. We think they are on
to you and you guys are in danger. Please verify your communications
with the Queen. Make sure it was really her.

From me:
Quote:
Edwin are you still there? What's happening? Please be careful. We
are so worried

From Edwin:
Quote:
I am for the moment. Communications have slowed...I'm on my iPhone...not
the easiest device to type on...

The Queen has suggested that her envoy will be here in five minutes.

From me:
Quote:
Did you confirm her identity?

From Edwin:
Quote:
Ah...yes I did. We can be assured I am now in contact with her.

Be back in a moment...trying to get a cart

From me:
Quote:
Is the envoy there? Please keep us updated as we are terribly worried about you both.

from Edwin:
Quote:
Ok...I'm back. I combed the floor...nothing of use in this situation.
Oddly...no envoy. Everything else seems to be in place.

I asked if there was anything firm and straight he could put morcar on.

Quote:
Maybe a dolly...no...to unbalanced. there's a freight elevator on this
floor. I saw it on a map I pulled up earlier. It's down the hall but
it's behind security doors. Maybe I can find a luggage cart.

Quote:
Edwin,

DO NOT CONTACT THE QUEEN. You're being watched, that's for certain. Contact might place her in danger. I can't help but feel that you and Morcar are just pawns in a larger conspiracy too.

Let us think about this some more. I'll be in touch, along with the rest of the Passengers.

The unauthorized entry is troubling. Don't ignore it.

And after he did contact her, I sent another e-mail:

Quote:
Ohhhh, but you did. And apparently you've got a small light at the end of the tunnel now. I suppose that's good. I can't bash positive possibilities.

But this doesn't sound completely safe -- in Morcar's case.

And this 'contact' is curious too.

Double-check the box. I fear there may be more to Morcar's condition than can be easily noticed.

His reply:

Quote:
I have the same fears. The Queen has just sent a message stating that an
envoy will be sent to the room. She will be here within the next 15
minutes to assist. The Queen has requested I not disable the Box.

A later e-mail to him:

Quote:
Edwin,

I feel leaving Morcar with the Queen will prove fatal. He has given in to the Korp, and therefore is a liability to the Deck. It also shows severe disloyalty to the Queen herself. However, I'm the kind of person that considers the worst-scenario overall -- please forgive the morbidity of my suggestion.

Remind yourself -- you know more than the Queen does about the Box. She wants that very much, obviously, to have come all the way out there. This information is yours to do with as you see fit. Be careful with what you reveal, and please keep us posted.

From Edwin:

Quote:
They keep glancing over their shoulders at me. Am I being paranoid?

My reply:

Quote:
No, you're not being paranoid. We all agree on that. But stay calm. That's the most you can do for yourself right now. Don't let them know that you might suspect.

Mostly though, I'm worried about Morcar's life. He's alone with the Queen up there, correct?

Is there any way you can possibly get closer to hear what they're saying?

His reply:

Quote:
The Queen's not here...I'm sure she's safe at home. It's just these two
as far as I know...

I can't quite overhear...they're mostly arranging details it seems...

.. and not too far afterwards, he sent another:
Quote:

I'm in the elevator...I heard them say something about cutting power (hard
to tell for sure)...I'm heading up...they're after me I'm sure. The Queen
is going to be pissed.

I don't think there's a way out.

This isn't going right.

My reply to that:

Quote:
Lock the doors behind you once you get to the room. We'll try to come up a plan.

Is there anyone else you can call for assistance in the meantime?

Edwin:

Quote:
hes not there...theyre right behing me

Me!

Quote:
Talk! Stall! Ask what they want!

From Korp:
Quote:

Edwin will not be joining you tonight.

I see that he was in the process of sending you a message. Are you one of
the passengers? Where are you? We would like to speak with you.

Response:

Quote:
Good evening --

I am curious as to Edwin's sudden disappearance as we were just recently conversing. May I ask who this is? Would you like to tell me how I may get back into contact with him?

Thank you.

Korp:
Quote:

Edwin has become occupied with a certain situation he was involved in.

The situation is being handled by those who are his superiors.

We are very interested in contacting those who've been assisting his
activities. Can I give you a call at some point?

Also: Are there others who might be willing to share information? Would
you have their names and information?

Anything you can provide would be of great assistance to myself, our
cause, and I'm quite sure Edwin would approve.

My reply:

Quote:
I'd like proof that Edwin is alright, first. His disappearance is worrying. Afterwards, I'd love to share my contact information with you.

Korp:

Quote:
I'm afraid I can't assist with that at the moment. He is in a car, on his
way to the private plane we have ready for him.

I assure you...you are being paranoid. He is fine. The Queen merely
needs information from him and then he will return to work.

Me:

Quote:
Would you like to tell me who you are then? Quid pro quo.

Korp(?):
Quote:

I am the European Envoy of the Queen of Information. You may call me
Delilah if you prefer simpler names.

Reply:
Quote:

Nice to make contact with you, Delilah. My name is Clementine.

I'm rather excited at the prospect of speaking with you, but I'm afraid Edwin's safety is of dire importance to me. If you can provide no way to prove he is currently (and will remain) in a state of un-harm, then I can tell you nothing more. My apologies.

Delilah (har):

Quote:
So be it and fair enough. I'm sure the Queen will have a message for you
all sometime soon. Look in the appropriate channels sometime later
tomorrow. I'm sure word will be out by then.

My last reply for the night:

Quote:
Thank you for your prompt reply, Delilah. I'm sorry we have come to an impasse. I look forward to the Queen's message. In the meantime, please have a pleasant evening.

-- Clementine

I apologize in advance for the dramtis answers. It tends to be the best way to acceletate peoples action.

Quote:
Greetings, ect.

My name is Knighthawk, sorry I haven't contacted you before, and all that jazz. I'm one of the passegers that has been influencing the others, and unfortunately got tired of delegating orders. And so, here I am.

First things first. Stop contacting the queen on your computer. We're worried that it has been comprimised, and could be used for monitoring. Use your cellphone, PDA, or anything else that you can think of. We don't even know if who you are contacting is really the queen. Cease. Contact.

Third. On the box feedback, we're still seeing a face. We believe it could be Morcar, and he may not be fully disconnected.

You might have to make a choice here Edwin: The Box, or your brother.

I hope you make the right one.

Edwin:
Quote:
Agreed...but I can't guarantee that separating them will save Morcar. My
biggest fear is that breaking the connection will render him a vegetable.

Me:
Quote:
Edwin, please, take the chance. If you're in danger, what would you prefer; a vegetable of a brother, or a dead one?

We're almost out of time. Make a decision, for your brothers sake as much as yours.

Edwin:
Quote:
I have to consider the possibility...as ugly as this is...that if they
really want me or Morcar that it may be too late. It is always possible
that "they" might take us alive...

I very much hope that this is merely grotesque speculation. I would
prefer a live but captured brother to a vegetable. I don't think I could
risk a death sentence.

I tried Loli...no luck. The service doors are locked. The Box is on

Maybe...but not at this minute. If the opportunity presents itself, I'll

they're at a distance talking quietly into bluetooths...

Why would a deal be necessary? Edwin is in no danger. He has business
with the Queen. Do you know the whereabouts of Morcar? Was this the
passengers doing? Who leads the group?

Oh. Yes. That's right. This is more of a collective, is it no? No real
leader. Regardless, send your information here and I will see to it that
an envoy speaks with you shortly.
