Also, got a new email from the resistance - more help in finding the last camera:

Quote:
there is one more device remaining.

skynet is coming now.

warn enitech.

no more time left.

ok, another attempt at clarifying... the orlando coordinates do appear to be accurate. They're at a junction of a road/path via satellite, and the location photo shows the same junction.

HAHAHAHAH I knew it was near that manhole. Ok, I'll got out there today and fetch it.

Last night all I found was two raccoons. Wonder if it'll matter that the picture will be taken at night basically.

How do you think the drops are being placed? Damn, don't you hate it when you glimpse the PM team through a tear in the curtain!

Maybe yours will already have the picture taken, like rosekittyellie's had...

Well that's a possibility...I guess I better knock a few things out at work so I can leave a little early.

I was wondering why they were so interested in what I was doing. Wink

Skynet
Skynet reference

I've never contributed before but I thought that I would this time and see if it helps any. I emailed takebackthefutureSPLATgmail.com. I got a reply today saying "Skynet is coming. Warn enitech." Thats all it said but I thought maybe it would help.

I also received a message from the resistance but it was not the same as what we have already heard. Well, the last line wasn't anyway.

Quote:
Skynet is coming.

Warn enitech.

There isn't much time left.

Only hours at this point maybe.

This was sent at 1:16am Mountain Standard Time which is GMT -7... I wonder what will happen today.

Re: Skynet...

Okay, this is going to be blatantly OOG...

Since we don't really have any meaty in-game references for skynet, I'm forced to think back to the source...

I don't recall, but in the mythology, but doesn't Skynet go from being online to fully sentient, to launching a nuclear holocaust in three days time?

If so, I guess that's the deadline we're waiting for.

Also, about mentioning Skynet in-game... there's no reason for us to connect Skynet with cyberdyne... nor to associate triangle, or triangular, symbols with it.

That is, unless there's a whole other area to this game that we're not aware of...

agreed. I mean, we know Frank worked at Cyberdyne... Skynet's connected to Cyberdyne. Perhaps Frank wasn't involved in this 'top secret' project (thus his lack of knowledge), but we know it's connected. I believe one of the comments on the last entry alludes to that point...

Might be an idea for someone to email EniTech with that "Skynet is coming" message. The resistance seem to want the message passed on.

[UPDATE]

Orlando camera has been retrieved. Information shortly, as soon as Made@Dark arrives home.

Edit: He's home, retrieving and emailing the pics.

Pictures have been taken and sent to Enitech, I didn't have my camera with me today as I was riding my motorcycle to work. Once my camera is done charging, I will post pictures of the items found.

I had been all over that area but this picture (239128549_802375196_0.jpeg) from theBruce was the biggest help. Initially I didn't find the canister but I found a zip-lock bag that had the battery charger for the Canon camera. A little more digging and the canister was unearthed. It was about 8 or so inches into the ground.

Inside the canister was the normal bits, whistle/compass combo, CF card reader, note, and Camera. The battery was just about dead and I was only able to get 2 pictures to the north before the battery died. One note the white markings on the manhole cover that is in that photo posted by theBruce have been painted over. That may have happened Monday or yesterday because I remember seeing them when I went out there Sunday.

I have emailed all 3 pictures, my two and the one on the camera, to enitech and I have received a reply. I will post that once I know where.

More edits to come....
