Whooaa megathread. It took me until now to find this. Lots of reading finally caught up on.

Well, um, I have Adobe Audition, which is a decent audio program. I've never gotten into the Bones of it [HA! Trekkie joke], but I'll see what I can do with those audioesque images sometime this week.

So, trout me if this has been mentioned before, but another forum added up the "correct" frequency numbers to find 1933. No big, just a date... lots going on then, but nothing stands out as related. Anyway, one of my friends said "too bad it doesn't add up to 1701." So I took the difference (232) and plugged it into the three working cameras and waited.

Nuthin' special. But I'm keeping an eye out for that number.

Hm, I don't think there's anything special about this site at the moment. I think it's just there to say "Hey guys, stay tuned. When the time has come, we will give you the real thing."

I read that article that The Senator linked to yesterday, and from the sound of it...we're not going to get anything until summer / fall of this year...

You think maybe they'll at least throw something our way to pass the time? Rolling Eyes

Not stupid, really. Now they have piqued your interest. The only step i'm waiting for is some sort of "Put your email in this box and we'll send you updates" so they can contact you when it actually starts...as you will probably jump all over it Very Happy. Good marketing, really.

Allthough yes, it does suck Very Happy

...hey, i wonder if the official movie site has some sort of email update feature?

The only sign-up they have is one for webmasters of fansites. They ask for your address and everything, so I imagine this is how word's going to get out, but it'd be nice if it were open to everybody.

Yeah, I was going to say I thought they already had an e-mail update box, because I signed up a couple weeks ago. Razz

The forums are open on the official website.

http://www.paramount.com/startrek/forums/

I'm thinking any viral marketing clues might be dropped in there.
