[SPEC] connection with the characters ok i thought to bring to attention the similarities with the characters in halo and "maiden's quest" in doing this i have to make assumptions as to halo 2's plot, so theres room for error but i just want people to go back to the roots, halo.
ok, the queen is halo, destroyed by master chief.
the widow is guilty spark, coming to revive halo's power.
the manticore is a boss, probably a flood that survived the blast.
the pious flea is difficult, i'd say cortana being that she helped destroy it.
master chief is the assassin.
or the roles could be switched whereas master chief is the maiden, coming to save earth that has been shot down by the covenant.... i dunno.

Why assume that it has something to do with HALO?
The Trailer? Tons of people were going to see it. As of now we have no PROOF that there's a connection, outside of the addy being in the trailer.
A commercial for tampons during Adult Swim doesn't mean that there's a deeper connection between the two than the advertisement uses the popularity of the medium to get to a wide range of viewers.

Why assume that it has nothing to do with Halo either?
Farout: Doesn't quite make sense. AFAIK the Widow is being repaired by the spider. As Guilty Spark was, as far as we know indestrctible, why would it be being repaired? The assassin is also trying to kill this "virus/AI"
I think that if you're going to link the ARG characters to Halo characters then the Assassin is 343, the Widow an AI (Probably not Cortana) and the Spider is a repair subroutine only.
In the game 343 probably had the power to kill Cortana (He threatened to purge her) but could as she absorbed the Index. Maybe 343 is pulling the code of this AI apart, trying to find something.
All spec of course.

Because you keep bending the facts that we do have to fit into your little HALO theories.
If something new comes up, people jump to trying to get it to fit into the HALO story.

Have you got a better theory?

How can you possibly still deny that these events are Halo related?
We have ONI, the Office of Naval Intelligence, from Halo. We have the talk of glassing a planet, also from Halo. We have Lt. Sorenson, who is Admiral Sorenson in the Halo books. There are other obvious links as well, but if these aren't enough to convince you than nothing will.

There's not enough evidence to form anything solidly.
Most of what's been put together can apply to any game universe, or even to the real world.
Messages between naval officers..
What's to say that the military hasn't developed an AI and that parts haven't escaped onto the internet, taking over this site randomly to hide and repair itself.
Taking bits of existing websites to repair itself, and blah blah..
It doesn't have to be the HALO universe to work.
Until I get proof in the form of in-game mentions of HALO characters or events.
Ones that aren't so vague that they could apply to ANY game, or the real world, I mean.

Exactly. At the moment it all ties in with Halo. It doesn't prove that it is, but it ties in with it. If there's another theory I'd love to hear it.
As it stands all evidence points to Halo.
As it stands all evidence points to the fact that sun will raise tomorrow.
Are both of the above proven? No, only assumed to a certain percentage. for me the first one is a good 99%.

So, we have the ONI in REAL LIFE.
Mentioning "glassing" for nuking isn't quite unique to HALO. I remember reading a few short stories in which the characters use nuclear weapons, and mention how heat + sand = glass.
We have the fact that a person names Sorenson exists. Somewhere. That sure is hard proof.
And if I know a guy named Sorenson, that makes him part of HALO?

The sun never "rises". We're the ones that move, not it. Well, it moves in relation to the center of the galaxy, but that has nothing to do with it.
I think a scientific FACT trumps your wild speculation due to this being a game.
As it stands, all the evidence points to SOMETHING, but it doesn't have to be HALO.

Semantics. It was an analogy for probability BTW.

What fact? I fail to see any scientic fact here, asdie from the mention of the Earths rotation giving the appearence of a rising sun. And no, it doesn't have much to do with it, aside from a show of probability.

Indeed, that's what I'm getting at too. However it's bit too coincidental that everything is pointing/hinting towards Halo.

It doesn't!
But can you deny that as it stands Halo is "odds on" what this is all about? If you can deny that then you must be have another idea. If you do, let's hear it.

I just gave it.
You need to read the words that I use.
This could exist in the REAL WORLD RIGHT NOW.
